Location is great to plan early or late visite to the local vistas. The hotel is charming, the host very amiable. The diner (one dish available) was simple, but good.

We had a blackout : no electricity and no internet in the evening till next day early morning 8:00am. Personally feeling, it is a bit overpriced.

The mattress is amazing comfortable. Nice view to the beach and also can really enjoy the quiet. 10 mins walking distance to the nice sand beach. The owner and staff are very friendly and it is a nice cozy place to chill out.

The road to get here was a bit of a challenge.

Breakfast is a nice continental spread. Lots of bread and chease, lunchmeats, etc. Good coffee.

Rooms and dinner were over-priced given the quality, clearly the remote location allows for very high prices. Refused to advise the cost of the set menu dinner prior to our arrival and also told us they couldn’t store a few items in a fridge overnight.

Excellent location to see the bird cliffs. Rooms were spacious and well heated. Dinner portions were adequate.

A comfortable, unpretentious hotel. A bit dated overall with updated bathrooms. Quiet, beds comfy. Pretty rural location overlooking fjord. It is about 30-40 minutes to drive to Latrabjarg cliffs. Another hotel is closer but this one seems better value.

Absolutely nothing.

The staff went above and beyond the call of duty, helping me to retrieve my lost mobile telephone. They greeted us as though it was our home. Wonderful location in the countryside overlooking a beautiful bay with white sand beach.

We were unable to stay for our second booked night, and did not expect to get any refund. However, we asked our host if they could provide us with sandwich lunch the next day, which seemed not unreasonable under the circumstances, since the hotel would receive the extra night's revenue. In the morning, we were told that we could make our own sandwiches from whatever was leftover from breakfast (which wasn't much), and the hotel then charged us for these leftovers. Very poor guest service..

The rooms are outdated. Since our rooms are at backyard, I guess it requires to open the window to get some fresh air and to avoid the smell since both rooms had their windows open when we got in. Downside was then there were quite many flies in the rooms, hardly had chance to expel them out and that was huge annoying. There was no place in our bathroom to hang towels even. No TV available but that's not a problem.

We booked two rooms for the family (2 adults and 2 kids). One room is on the ground floor at backyard, one goes further downstairs also at backyard. The space of the rooms are good. Regards Breakfast, I think at this corner of westfjord, we should be satisfied with the offered breakfast. The host met at breakfast is a kind man. I saw he cared his guests and talked pleasantly with them.

The location was the closest to the cliffs and lighthouse best for viewing the nesting Puffins. The dining room and breakfast were cozy and comfortable and the breakfast items were very tasty.

This is a great base to explore the Latrabjarg Peninsula (puffins, gold beach, red beach, etc.), but not so good if you plan to spend time in Patreksfjordr or some of the other fjords. Compared to other properties in Iceland, it's a touch expensive for what you get - however, there aren't many options in this area.

The family that runs the property is delightful and full of local insights and knowledge - be sure to ask them for tips when you are visiting! The property itself is a bit older, but has been well maintained - fresh paint everywhere. In the evenings, the property is extremely quiet - only the local sheep making any noise.

One of the only options available close to the Látrabjarg cliffs but if you're a bird enthusiast it is absolutely worth the investment. Do check out the nearby Hnjótur Museum for a very thorough look at life in the southern Westjords in the old days, it is surprisingly complete for such a remote location. The owner also played us some french music during breakfast!
