Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was too hot for us for sleeping, and there was no way to adjust the temperature, so we slept with the window open. There was a fan, which helped, but it was a bit noisy and it felt wasteful to have the heat blasting, window open and fan running. Nevertheless, we slept very well! The beds were quite comfy.
The hotel is very conveniently located and has a free parking garage, the beds are super comfortable and the included breakfast buffet was very good.

In the bathroom there is no ventillation.
Very close to bus stop 9, where any bus can pick You up for an excursion. Breakfast was delicious, there was a lot of choice. Rooms are clean, and You can open the window which is very important. :)

Everything was perfect.
Elegant interiors, very clean and neat. Everything we needed was in the room, bed was comfy. Everyone was SUPER nice and helpful, we arrived pretty late, so there was not many parking spots left, but they helped us find something and answered my 3616184 questions. Breakfast was pretty standard hotel one, but with local products - simple and perfect, nice coffee too. Location is very convenient - close to main street and to coast with voyager.

The beds were comfortable, the shower was great. Breakfast was really good - loved the porridge. Underground parking was really convenient. Location really close to main street and good restaurants. Loved the Ragnar Axelsson photography book in every room - really beautiful!

The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had to check out very early in the morning and were offered coffee. The room was fine, the breakfast was great, especially the waffles :) The location was great, not far from the sun voyager or Laugavegur.

Nothing not to like exceeded all expectations
Very friendly and helpful staff, hotel facilities were top drawer with an amazing location to explore the city and to then get out and go further afield either by car or bus, garage car park was a massive bonus took the worry and hassle of finding a place to park.

The only thing (but we've found this at many hotels in Iceland) was our room was a little too warm, even though we turned off the heat.
We've stayed here before and picked the hotel due to it's location (close to center but far enough removed from the hustle and bustle). There is an underground parking garage. Breakfast was good, rooms overall were comfortable. Communication with hotel was great!

Perfect base for exploring Reykjavik. Car parking next to the hotel, and a short walk to the shops, the sights and the waterfront. The bar area is a really nice spot to relax with a drink in the evening.

There could be more vegan options at breakfast. Everything is styled to be dark grey, the rooms are a little too grey for my taste, i wouldnt want to stay in the darkly decorated room too long.
Breakfast was included and it was delicious. The parking beneath the hotel was brilliant and so handy for getting suitcases up and down in the lift. You can park outside on the slope or in the outside car park while you check in but when you have your keycard you can use it to open the shutters behind the hotel and park in the underground car park. Location of the hotel was great.

Nothing.
Although there was no cooked breakfast, the porridge and other choices made up for this. The room was large, modern and quiet. Having previously stayed here and at another location closer to the city centre, I found the city centre hotel noisy until after midnight and so chose to come back here as it is only a short walk into the centre down Laugavegur. Parking was in the underground garage and I was able to leave my car and luggage securely after checkout until I returned to the airport.

There is nothing bad to say about this hotel; maybe I'd just suggest they offer conditioner with complimentary toiletries.
Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options. I loved the porridge, the fresh fruits and the pancake station. The room was cosy and warm. The location is excellent for walking around the city, and a bus stop is nearby for the other lights tour. We arrived earlier, and the room was already available, which was a pleasant surprise.
