Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SloveniaThe hosts Mona and Faisal were amazing, they were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I loved that the guest house is located in Um Sayhoun, city where beduins live so you could really experience the culture and way of life.

New ZealandThere isn’t anything around so you don’t have a choice but to eat with the family and getting lunch in the area is nearly impossible so you have to do with random supermarket snacks (more of a minimart). You also have to arrange taxis etc as there is no public transport (max from petra visitor centre should be 5JOD). We met a taxi driver on the first day and just messaged him whenever we needed a ride.
Very clean room and spacious. The bathroom was also big. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The dinner was amazing but slightly expensive however at 10JOD pp but the portions were huge! The family was lovely and we felt at home with them. The back entrance is really close and recommend walking this way on your second day. It is definitely a genuine experience staying here.

FranceIt was very cozy and welcoming, instantly we became a part of the family and we could spend time with the Bedouin family which owns the guest house in the Bedouin tent or in their living room. The home made food was delicious 😋

SlovakiaIf you are coming to see Petra, this guest house is a really great start for this advanture and for me it was one of the highlights of our trip. Of course you can find plenty of different types of accomodation in Wadi Musa, but I was looking for typical local experience that is why I booked this place few kilometres from Wadi Musa and it was really great!! The moment we arrived, we met only nice and cool people, the owner Faesal and his family are really lovely people. We spent a lot of time talking about way of living there, about Jordan in general....and of course we received a lot of tips how to make trip to Petra really unforgettable experience... Little bit about house and room itself....we were 3 guys and everything was OK...3 comfortable separate beds, good shower, brekfast in the morning was really good. For me it was interesting to hear when donkeys outside started to communicate with each other...their communication can be really loud sometimes :-) I can not forget to mention that owner of this place Faesal runs also the shop right in front of Treasury in Petra complex!! It was really great to meet him there again, he offered us cup of coffee which was really cool. Petra is a truly special place to visit. In overal...short visit of Petra Magic Guest House for one night was really great part of our trip and I highly recommend it to other travellers. Thank you Faesal for everything, hopefully I can see you again in future.

Czech RepublicOur stay at Petra Magic Guest house was just amazing! The room was super clean and spacious, hot water, comfortable beds. The owner and his wife are lovely people, who welcomed us with tea and nice chat over the fire place. They also prepared for us delicious dinner, though we arrived late in the evening. They also invited us to their house. It was fabulous, charming, lovely local experience. Can highly recommend. 11/10 :))

United States of AmericaGoogle maps brings you up to the back of the guesthouse so it's a bit confusing, but that's not the owners fault. Once you drive around to the front there's a gate and parking for the car.
If you are looking for a family run guest house with great value, you have found it here. Our host, Faesal, owns a guest house in the Bedoun Village of Uum Seyhoun, a 5 minute drive from Wadi Musa. He and the other families in this village were early inhabitants of the Petra area. The guesthouse has comfy beds and a charming communal space out front to relax and have breakfast and/or dinner. His wife cooked a delicious meal for our dinner when we arrived late and hungry. He was most kind in giving us suggestions on how best to see Petra the next day. He set up transportation to and from the site so that we could leave our car at the guest house for the day. Overall, it's a great value (our breakfast was included) and very convenient to Petra. We also enjoyed staying in the small local town rather than in a hotel right outside Petra, which was nice but much more touristy. We would stay there again if and when we return.

Great location 3 km from Petra Visitors Center and even closer to the Petra back entrance, if one should choose that route (which is highly recommended). The couple owning the guest house, Faesal and Mona, showed great hospitality. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, and in front of the house is a cozy tent, where Faesel and Mona served delicious breakfast and coffee.
