Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The Wi-fi was too unstable, the shower was cold, and the window in the room does not lock. Limited toiletries provided. No lotion, facial tissues, bath slippers etc Lobby area washrooms were dirty with a "urine" smell.
The room was comfortable, and breakfast was basic but good.

Shower was rather chilly. Music in lobby not too great and monotone.
Room very spacious. Beds rather hard. Breakfast was basic if you are looking for a more European breakfast. Plenty of warm foods for breakfast. Dinner: great menu and food for lunch & dinner.

The only thing that wasn't great is that they charge additional delivery fees on top of your meal when you order room service. Being that the meal prices are high in terms of the standard of Kenya, it didn't make sense to charge delivery fees for bringing food up 2 floors from the restaurant.
I liked the location of the hotel, It made it easier to get around. The room was clean and the facilities were great but what made the biggest difference was the staff. They were really kind and very responsive and went out of their way to ensure we were very comfortable during our stay.

This stay we had different front desk folks so all was good.

Internet connection in my room is weak and unstable. Electric door keys didn't work properly. Swimming pool is nice but small with hot water (because its not profound). Bathroom could be somewhat cleaner (doirs of the shower, mirror)
The interior design is beautifull with tropical red wood everywhere. Very stylish decorated. Staff is very friendly. Room price reasonable.

The room is a bit dated (especially the bathroom), but it is still alright. The restaurant was not very impressive, but it was a slow season, so maybe they up their game a bit at other times. Staff were kind (even if they forgot my request for a take-away breakfast on the one day I ordered it).
It is an affordable and rather nice hotel near the centre of Nairobi. I had a lovely room on the top floor with a lovely view. I enjoyed the pool and I think all the basics are there. I was there a bit in the off-season so it was a bit quiet. It provided a fantastic starting point for all the excursions I wanted to do.

There was only one server during the morning service. So service was slow, tables had used dishes on them, and they also had to confirm guests for breakfast. Sloppy on the management side.
Great room. Facilities are good and very spacious rooms. Considering the time of the year and the heat more complimentary bottles of water. I wished I had time to try the gym. It looks very well- kitted.

The door entry cards worked only intermittently. The staff didn’t seem to know who was in which room because one night, when I was in bed, my door was opened by a staff member. The safety catch on the door was broken. This was quite unsettling and made me anxious that someone would come into my room.

Not much around to feel safe to walk to. Charged more for massage than was expecting and by this time in a rush to leave with tour so no time to argue it. Only 1 cup in the room on arrival and no tea or coffee. We arrived late and needed food but unable to get room service. Shop was opened for us but just sold crisps and biscuits and wouldn't take card out of hours

The 'satellite tv' had only 3 working channels. The WiFi was terrible, and pretty much didn't work in the room.
