Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe loved the spa and got massages there every day. We also enjoyed the restaurant around the corner called Golden Cafe and ate there everyday because it is delicious and cheap. We got picked up for all of our activities. It is a good location.

United KingdomSome of the fixtures are showing their age and some of the room descriptions on online sites are misleading as things have changed a bit since Covid and the marketing hasn’t quite caught up. But don’t let this put you off. This is a great, quiet base in Siem Reap with a good restaurant, and excellent staff to help with day trips etc.
The best thing about the Baby Elephant is the staff. They could not have been friendlier, kinder or more helpful. It was also much quieter than we had expected a downtown location to be.

BrazilThe air conditioning did not work as well as we would have liked, it took a long time to cool the room. Given Cambodia's heat, that makes a difference. Breakfast is not varied, but delicious.
Very nice and helpful staff. They sent a tuk tuk to pick us up at the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable. Nice shower. Good welcome drink. Very nice and welcome pool and after a hot day of tour.

United KingdomStayed at Baby Elephant for 3 nights and we adored it. From being picked up at the airport by a wonderful member of staff to the gorgeous space (complete with a lovely salt water pool and a courtyard space for hanging out) and the brilliant location (a short tuk tuk ride to Angkor Wot and walkable distance to many places to eat and drink) it was the perfect place for a stay in Siem Reap. The chance to play with Happy, the hotel’s resident dog, was a bonus! Daily yoga classes were a fantastic way to stretch out and calm down after a day out visiting the temples. We will return if we ever come back to town.

NetherlandsWhen you drive up to the hotel you pass through a street and at first you think this cannot be right. But when you go through the gate of the hotel it is a little oasis. The facilities do not look exactly as good as in the pictures, BUT this is such a lovely place and the staff s wonderful. And this hotel has all sorts of extras that makes staying here very worthwhile. Like the salt water pool, very healthy and wonderful menu, they do roomservice, there is daily yoga on the roof and it has a little spa… The rooms are very spacious and very clean. Compared to other hotels the price was a little higher…. but still it is just so affordable. This simply is a lovely place to stay and I would definitely recommend.

United States of AmericaOnly that they were booked up for the last few days I wanted to stay. My problem; not there's, but just says how much I loved staying there.
An amazing oasis in Siem Reap where I was instantly made to feel like family and treated as such. The room was a great size for someone who needed to work as well as a place to spend time without out feeling confined to the room. The staff went above and beyond to help me with anything I needed. In addition to the the large room, there was plenty of outdoor space and activities to keep me occupied. And the food food was fresh and absolutely divine. Sugar Spa-which is available whether you are a guest or not was glorious. Even if you don't stay there, the spa is worth it.

SwitzerlandOn our last morning we arrived 10min late for our breakfast and they refused to bring it to us. That was very disappointing after staying there for six nights in total. Especially because their kitchen is open the whole day anyways. It kind of ruined our very good feeling that we had of the place. The food there is average, we preferred to eat elsewhere in town.
The place has a nice vibe and is very quiet. I was very happy not hear any pub street noise and have this quiet little oasis. They have yoga lessons and their own spa in the building. The staff was ver nice, especially the receptionist. He was just so lovely.

AustraliaNot much really. Location is a little out of town (20 mins walk). The hotel is down a dirt side road. Our room had a few defects but not major issues.
This is a quiet smallish home-stay style place, where the staff and service are genuinely friendly and helpful.
