Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesLocation is probably not the best within the village as it's on the highest spot, so you either take a bus that drops you in front of the door (literally) or walk upside a little which could be exhausting depending on your day. But nothing I would worry about.
The staff / owners live to delight your experience. The place is classic korean hanok decorated and well-maintained. We loved everything about it. 100% recommended to live the Hanok experience.

I loved this homestay . The couple who own/ run it are so sweet and helpful . They used a translator app to speak with us and really made an extra effort to make conversation and explain how everything works. It was so amazing to experience traditional living . The breakfast was excellent especially the soup . We felt very welcome in their home . The sleeping mats on the floor were much more comfortable than expected. :)

United KingdomAbsolutely lovely place, with a warm, friendly, welcoming couple running it. We were asked about our allergies for breakfast, and everything was done to make us feel good and relaxed. The building itself was so beautiful, and we are so grateful for the hospitality. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to experience a traditional, old-style home. Thank you so much!!

United States of AmericaNot a criticism of the property at all - more an awareness point. Three double rooms are sharing a bathroom so expect to have to wait sometimes.
A wonderful place to stay. Extremely welcoming hosts, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was ideal. It was super charming to be in a more traditional house vs. a hotel.

SingaporeA pity that we did not get to wear any traditional costumes which we saw other travellers worn and we also did not get the 2nd day's breakfast as we had to check out really early.
The true experience of staying in a traditional house especially when the owner is staying there too, and the chance to taste typical breakfast for Korean family for a day. The house is up on a little slope, not too near the train station, and if one do not want to rely on the bus right at its door step, there are quite a bit of walking to do but serve as a good form of exercise. The neighbourhood is nice to explore.

United States of AmericaRooms are quite small so it is a bit congested. But since we spent most of our day outside we didn't mind it.
Beautiful traditional Korean stay. The location is perfect between the two palaces. The family is extremely helpful and friendly. We really loved the home cooked breakfast. We were initially worried about language constraints but it was no problem. Their daughter (Jane) speaks English, and we could easily communicate with Auntie too. They guided us with recommendations for food, places to visit, subway and bus routes, took care of our meal preferences and also helped us get a taxi while leaving. I would highly recommend this place for a unique traditional experience. The location is perfect to visit most of the spots around on foot. Thank you for hosting us. We hope to visit again.

The guesthouse was a traditional Korean house and you will definitely feel the authenticity of the place. I really loved how the floors were heated, and the location was lovely and peaceful despite it being in the city. The host, Helen, was absolutely brilliant and she was so hospitable. We had to check in really late and check out at the early hours, and she was up to say goodbye which was really sweet.

NetherlandsNot a minus, rather a watch out to consider - it is a traditional house with traditional bedding, so be prepared that it might not be as comfy as you're used to. For what it's worth, I had 0 issues with the firm mattress, but the "pillow" was a bit too high for me (and as it was super firm, not much I could do about the height), so had a bit of a stiff neck the morning after :)
Excellent location, the place itself was super clean and beautifully decorated, we had all necessary amenities in the room. Hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. And the breakfast was 10/10 - one of my friends can't eat pork for religious reasons and our lovely host fixed another type of traditional breakfast for her (different from what they served to everyone that day).
