Wish I could have stayed longer!

Seriously, you cannot do much better than here for the price. Owned by the kindest, most wonderful couple that really care about you. Not a party place however but the tranquility coupled with morning birdsong is exquisite. I cannot wax eloquent enough about this place. Location is excellent to beach. A living room. Huge deck. A working kitchen….it has it all. Breakfast is amazing. I would return in a heartbeat here.

Great location, easy quick walk to beach. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Had a common sitting area inside an out which was great to relax. Kitchen facility with a fridge was also great Breakfast was very nice and the hosts were great and helpful with anything. I would recommend staying here, a great place to stop. Thanks

The owners were very nice people. Very clean. Tasty big breakfast including coffee and fruit. Close to the beach where you can rent bed and parasol. Very quiet place where you can listen to the birds and relax.

Very nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen, living room and terrace were also at our disposal. Two minutes from the beautiful beach. The breakfast is very abundant and of high quality. The owners are warm, friendly and very helpful.

Very friendly hosts. They helped with organising trips and it felt like staying with your family. Breakfast was delicious, rooms are simple, clean, and meet the basic requirements. It's close to beach and train station. I enjoyed my stay very much and can only recommend this place. Very good value for money.

Great location, close walk to the beach, train station and nice restaurants but very quiet also. Breakfast was also very good and freshly made. The owners were lovely, so friendly and welcoming. They aloud us to leave our bags after check out till our late taxi and even offered us to use their facilities once we checked out. Will definitely return if we visit Bentota again.

Comfortable rooms. Lovely people. Use of kitchen & iron. Peaceful village next to a beautiful beach. Restaurants are expensive because of the location but Aluthgama is nearby which is cheaper. Transport connections good. Second time we have stayed here and will again

We liked everything 😁

You could not meet a nicer, more helpful and sweet family that own this homestay. From the moment we arrived to when we left, their hospitality was fantastic. Very comfortable room with big bed, powerful fan and A/C, very clean as is the whole property. Breakfast was delicious and huge with fresh fruit, eggs, toast & jam. Lots of tea/coffee and some lovely Sri Lankan extras too (the fish balls are superb!!!). It's perfectly positioned and is really peaceful. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk away as is the town. We can definitely recommend Bentota Homestay and would stay again on our next visit. Thank you for your kindness, we had a fabulous stay.

The place is just 5 mins from the beach. If you are looking for a budget stay near the beach definitely consider it. The hosts made some local authentic Sri Lankan food for us at breakfast. They even helped us with a bit of local shopping.

I enjoyed my stay, the couple was really nice and helpful in giving me directions, an umbrella and making a good breakfast at the times I needed. The room was cleaned and it had a mosquito net! The beach was just down the street!
