Just wow! What an absolute heavenly stay at Deep Blue, its like paradise. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful and the manager Ruzaik made us feel right at home. The adorable dog also became a fast friend during our stay! The room was spotless and spacious and the shower was lovely pressure and temperature, we loved the decor. Comfortable bed with a mosquito net and as there's no aircon (clearly stated and as they're an eco lodge, understandable!) we used the plug in fan along with the ceiling fan and open windows (with nets for bugs across the windows). It does get pretty hot at night so bear that in mind but we absolutely loved the place so much it really didn't matter. The breakfast in the morning was so delicious and huge, a lot of variety and lovely to have it sat looking over the pool and beach. Great kitchen facilities mean you can also prepare any of your own meals and we kept our groceries and water in the fridge which we used to make lunches. We rented a scooter at a good price and also had some laundry done too. The pool was absolutely dreamy, so clean and so blue! Large enough to properly swim in and so nice to relax and cool down in. The sun loungers are comfortable with cushions and there are more chill areas along the sand at the front of the property and a hammock and day bed too. It was really quiet and so relaxing, barely any other guests and most days me and my partner were the only ones around at all. There's a few restaurants along the beach about a 10 minute walk away and easy enough to get too. We loved our stay here and will hopefully one day return. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a holiday!

It is so peaceful and beautiful there! The outdoor swinging bed is heaven! The grounds are lovely and the pool is a perfect place to relax. When the tide is out, there's also a small beach. They offered to prepare fish for us on our first night- it was delicious!

We had a really nice time at Deep Blue. The site is wonderful, the sound and the view of the ocean, the nature around, the pool, it’s all really well designed. Our little cottage, a bit off from the other rooms, gave us privacy which was really appreciated. It was just perfect for our family and we really enjoyed our huge terrasse with the swing bed. Amazing!

A little bit of paradise by the sea! Deep Blue is beautiful and the rooms are wonderfully designed. Ruziak is a great host and an excellent communicator. He organised an excellent bbq'd supper of freshly caught fish which was served on our patio and a 5am tuk tuk to the railway station in Matara.The swimming pool and gardens are fabulous with plenty of places to relax. I highly recommend

All was fine. The light bulb was broken when we arrived, but they fixed it super fast.

It's a great place where you want to disconnect a bit, relax and enjoy your rest. The location was great, very close to the beach, you can walk in 7 min. The property is a villa and you have a home stay there. The man who manages everything is a really nice person, We had great time with him, had lots of talks, it was very lovely. They staff was great and they were also giving some tea, fruit sometimes for free as a treat, which was very lovely. The property was clean and the kitchen has everything we needed to cook. The pool was nice and clean, we had some relaxing time there as well. I will go back again for sure once I am in Matara.

This place is absolutely stunning, booking.com dosnt do it justice. It was our favourite stay on our Sri Lanka trip. The room and facilities, pool, staff, breakfast were all perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer. We would love to come back one day and definitely would recommend. Thank you.

If there’s one negative thing to say is the non AC room. The night felt hot so the sleep was affected, but it was no surprised as it was mentioned. We had a beautiful day to sleep and relax on the exterior bed, so it was not a worried. Would recommend 100%!

Everything was perfect about the stay. The pool was really beautiful and well conceived. It’s so quiet and calm. The hotel manager made sure we were comfortable on every level. The 5$ breakfast served to our room was really appreciated.

The beach (which is directly in front of the residence, with private access) is sadfully very littered, so we got a little injury from a broken can in the water directly on our first day. For swimming we recommend other beaches nearby like Polhena or Mirissa. The pool is super beautiful, however, it would need some cleaning (a little bit muddy and oily due to particles and sunscreen), even in low season. The rooms are very nice, yet, they would be even better with AC, as the (natural) ventilation does not suffice when the curtains are closed at night). Even in off-season temperatures are high. The beds are simple wood constructions (annoyingly creaking with every move), with thin mattresses. Unfortunately, our shower was too weak to wash hair, so we had to use the cold outdoor shower. But to be fair, the manager offered us to change the rooms for a better shower. All these complaints are on a high level... we really liked our stay, and we would definitely come again!

The place is super beautiful. The pool and garden/chillout area is awesome. The house is really nicely designed. We also got an upgrade to a bigger room (Jacobo) for free, as there were no other guests in the time we were there. The breakfast was good: fruits, omelet, toast, (delicious) butter and jam and a cup of tea and coffee. Thanks!

It was great stay at Deep Blue, one of the best in Sri Lanka. Beautiful garden with swimming pool, we could really relax. Our room was clean, bright and stylish. Whole area is very nice, there is also small beach with small waves. We could use the kitchen to prepare breakfast and coffee. The Owner is very kind. We really recommend this place.

They make you pay the moment you arrive (we arrived in the night with a little baby) instead of paying at the check out. We even had to pay the breakfast for the next morning. Plus the card machine was broken so could only pay with cash or a transfer. It seemed a little forced.
