The room is dirty, in fact it is not a classic room but a camp, insects inside the room, which if you don’t destroy, will eat you, and if you are also with children, then this is generally a huge problem. buffet on the street, all dishes are open, no hygiene. There are merchants on the beach who will eat up your time. Yes, there was a problem with the payment, there is poor internet at the reception, and even when you get through the process and the full amount is debited in the bank app, the employees will insist that the payment did not go through and you need to spend a lot of effort for them to issue you a check with cancellation. terrible experience, glad I left there

The room has been a mess. Wet and dirty bathroom and the corridor to our room looked like an dump. The noise isolation is horrible, so it’s absolutely impossible to have a good rest as it’s incredible loud until the night. Beside the price, this is not a 5 star hotel and we would also recommend to check local boutique hotels, offering much better service and cleanses for much less money.

Great location next to the beach and close to local restaurants and shops as well as the airport.

1. Breakfast dis not cater to vegetarian needs at all, fruit flies on fruit and some foods 2. House keeping did not fully add room needs and basic hotel details 3. Up keep of general rooms and bathrooms is not up to a five star standard as would expect.

What we did not like is noise...there qere 3 weddings...they were even banging and removing marquee at 3am...this is not acceptable..music wemt on well after mid night..we had the worst room..

The bedroom and toilet isn’t clean at all: the mirrors were dusty, insects were found in the bed, toilet floor have dirt marks, it wasn’t to my expectations for a five-star hotel. And the hallway outside our room was very dark, lights were switched off which we find it difficult to walk early morning.

Old Hotel. Rooms and furniture need renovation. Many long-term staff who seem rather tired with a long career. They should retire. Reception staff seem overworked or tired. Overall, this hotel seriously needs staff training. It's a must.

Good location, great ocean view with a large beach, bang on the famous beach road where lots of restaurants, cafés and bars are located. Great swimming pool. Good food, decent spread of food at dinner & breakfast buffet. Part of a reputed hotel chain, hence, it's safe and reliable.

Very cool hotel. I loved the emphasis on sustainability from every angle. Pool was beautiful, food was great. We were only there for a few hours because of when our flight got in, wish we had more time.

Professionalism of staff at the restaurant. We were there for 4 nights and every time we sat down 2-3 people would ask for our room number. During breakfast we had to ask many times for coffee and no one would return, they often forget about you. Found it very hard to sit and have a peaceful meal as the staff talk to you while you eat. During dinner service the staff would come bring you the bill before you finish eating/ have dessert as if they’re in a rush for you to leave.

Housekeeping and all staff other than those that worked at the restaurant for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurants within 200 metres walking distance from hotel were much better price, service and selection wise which I wish we explored earlier during our stay!! (Boho & Bacco)

The spa was not opened as closed which was a major reason of why i came. The over all cleanliness and attention to detail needs to be improved.

Beautiful property with potential but unfortunately the management is lacking the common sense to deal with guest relations.

The hotel bedrooms on the ground floor are past their sell by date. Old. Outdated. Leaking AC. Noisy. Just overall, the rooms were disappointing and the worst I'd encountered on my tour of Sri Lanka

Being challenged quite often ...are you guests....we felt under suspicion. Room service put 3 different people on phone, order repeated any times but it still ended up very wrong. Pool hours too short, we look forward to evening swims.

Old hotel and not even close to a 5 star. Front office manager and some staff with attitude and not friendly. Food was too salty and over priced. No cleaning in the room. No AC or a Fan in the front office and it was a very hot day. No Parking with in the property, you need to cross the road and park your vehicle by yourself in an open space roadside which does not look secure. Pool was not clean. You had to call few times to get your luggage’s to the room.

It was a very depressing entrance and pretty gritty in all areas. The lift was broken and the staff quite unfriendly. There was a food festival on the beach with loud thumping music from 10am until midnight. We were very happy to leave after one night.
