What an incredible hotel, our favourite for our entire stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel itself is stunning with views of the wilderness and the sea. The pool area is incredible, it's huge and surrounded by trees where you often get monkeys at certain times of the day (they keep themselves to themselves but great to watch), loved the pool bar and barmen too. The rooms are excellent, very spacious with a comfy bed and a pretty cool bathroom. Both restaurants are great - We loved the Sri Lankan. The hotel also arranged safari's for us which was easy to do and was an amazing experience.

Nothing, we loved everything!

Jetwing Yala was amazing. Set right on the edge of the Indian Ocean in the middle of a national park. What more could you ask for. We found the staff very helpful and accommodating in booking safaris, and transport to our next location. The bar area in the pool was fabulous and the service was great, we also used their laundry service and it was great value. Buffet was plentiful and a lot of options from western to Sri Lankan options. We also tried the restaurant upstairs and although it was quiet when we stayed the food was amazing. The Sri Lankan curry was 10/10. We were provided a breakfast box prior to our Safari trip also which was perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel for a treat/weekend getaway if you are wanting a full 'Safari/Relaxing' experience. The rooms were modern and the bed was so comfortable, the turn down service was great too! We unfortunately didn't see the resident elephant but we did see the monkeys both evenings in the trees at the pool, it was amazing!

A very little annoyance was we couldn’t plug our chargers in bedside wall sockets. But we used the one under the table and the one reserved for electric kettle. So no worries there!

The stay was really pleasant. The staff was super friendly and protective. They always taking care of us and our vehicles from wildlife. Our Deluxe double room was simply splendid with more space and really great view of the ocean. The food was really superb, there was a really wide selection of food and desserts.

Whilst the bathroom was huge, it was quite dark & ours was a little smelly Apart from going on safari , there is little else to do in the area

Every night, a bat would visit our bathroom and leave droppings there. I was disappointed that this hotel in Sri Lanka didn't offer us a welcome drink, although it's just a small gesture. Additionally, there were issues during checkout when paying for meals. They didn't accept some of my USD notes, and the staff didn't explain the procedure beforehand. Also, I accidentally opened a bottle of soda in the fridge and was charged for it instead of it being covered by the hotel. Overall, the reception service needs better training and attitude; even simple greetings like 'Good morning' were often ignored.

There were very less options for food for vegetarian people. The staff did not understand much of English. The Safari experience was not very good. The hotel also promised us that they would setup barbecue for us. But they did not. The complimentary cake they said they would send was also just a few pieces of chocolate.

The room was really nice and spacious. The hotel is very fancy. They also helped us with Yala Natioanl Park safari.

We loved everything about Jetwing Yala, the rooms, the sustainability, the environment friendly nature, the staff, the food, the pool and everything in between. We loved all the animals we got to see here and learn about all that’s being done to preserve this beautiful place.

The bathroom is a little dated. There's a normal shower and rain shower?? I'm not sure what it quite wash but the concrete decor of the bathroom was starting to discolour. Minor fault but otherwise excellent

Dusty road to the hotel is very bumpy. OK for jeeps but difficult for normal cars.

Had an amazing stay at this beachfront hotel. Waking up to a friendly elephant visiting in the morning was a delightful surprise! Loved the relaxing spa and the staff were incredibly friendly. A truly unique and enjoyable experience.
