Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Excellent location to explore and experience Kandy for a short visit.

I loved the balcony, but it wasn’t private. Three rooms each had a portion of one long balcony but very low dividing walls. Also I am convinced I booked on a bed and breakfast basis (I always do) but when I went to breakfast on the first morning I discovered this was not the case and I had to pay extra for breakfast.
I liked the central location, very handy for work purposes. The room was clean and comfortable. Useful bar and restaurant on site although it was a bit dark and uninviting.

Nothing really. No fault I can say. Not top notch accommodation, but didn’t pay a fortune to stay there.
Good central location to walk to local attractions, or short tuk tuk away. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were good and breakfast was good. Not great, but good.

Restaurant band should play staying in one place, without going to the tables and asking guests about what's their favourite song etc. We just want to have a meal in peace.
Very close to the Temple of Tooth in the middle of the city. Staff and food was very nice.

This place needs a massive clean. You can tell it was really nice when it was brand-new but they have not kept up the maintenance. The reception area is tired and needs to be dressed up. The corridors are nice but I had to change rooms three times just to get an air conditioning unit that worked even the third one did not work that well it took five hours to cool the room down, they don’t want to spend any money on maintenance here hence the reason the air-conditioners have not been re-gassed. They are just blowing cool air but not cold. All of the pillows are really uncomfortable and they seem years old. They are very flat and bumpy. The king size bed is just too small Beds push together. The bathroom smells like a sewer. For the price I was expecting much better. It is one of the more expensive places, here pretty disappointed to be honest, it would have been okay if it was about 30% cheaper I feel like they need to reduce their prices or increase their maintenance.
Staff were very friendly and accomodating, location is great, room was soundproof, safe with security guard.

Photos are not a true representation of the current state of the rooms, which could do with a significant freshen up. The room and bathroom could be cleaner. Breakfast is tasty, although only one option (English breakfast) and it took 45 minutes despite being the only people in the restaurant.
Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Central location - 10 minute walk to the train station and short walk from the lake. Comfortable bed. Hot water and strong WiFi.

Location was excellent. Room was on the small side but comfortable. My only issue was the TV did not work. The staff were very good. Breakfast and dinner was good as well.

The little things: the room could be a bit cleaner and the mattress had better days. Also, the fridge was switched off when we arrived so it took a while to get going. But for the money ... it's ok.
The location is superb - smack in the middle of the city. We stayed only one night so didn't get a chance to explore fully but we did see a few bars on the way. A kindly employee hopped in the car with me and led me to the hotel's own off- street parking space. Nice! The room was spacious, had a fridge and s shower. All Good.

I felt safe in this hotel. Room was clean when we arrived. The hotel has a really great location - trail station, bus station, restaurants and Temple of the tooth, lake - everything is really close.
