The accommodation/rooms are on 2nd and 3rd floor of the property with easy staircase. For elderly people a lift/elevator would have been helpful.

Staff was very sensitive and friendly. Breakfast was fabulous and rooms were clean and comfortable. We will recommend this place for safe, clean and enjoyable stay.

I did not expect that due to the humidity it would be quite complicated for me to acclimatizate and have long walks as I am used to in Belarus, so please keep in mind that it takes 1 km to the nearest beach. You can take tuk tuk (local transport) to get quick And also cosider UF sun index is almost all time extreem, I used 60 spf creem

Such a lovely stay! The family who runs Maple Place are so kind and thoughtful, lots of attention to detail. They allowed us to leave our bags early and even provided a cold drink while we waited for the room to be ready. The room was clean, exactly as pictured, always had hot water, and ac/fan worked excellently. Location on the main road was a short walk or tuk tuk ride to the beach or town. The breakfast was so delicious and had variety for our 3 night stay. Highly recommend we would definitely stay here again!

If you need breakfast early (for instance to go surfing) that wasnt possible. Was said to be served from 08.30 but actually came 0845/0900. You can here the road clearly from the balcony, so dont exact a comfi relaxing vibe up there, inside the rooms it was Oke tho. Deff good for the price you pay.

Such nice, helpfull and communicative ladies. The rooms are really comfi, big, clean, AC and fan, comfi bed and really nice shower. Scooter rent can be arranged in the store below, evenso there's a laundry service. Breakfast is amazing.

the room is very light and there are no shadow curtains, so you will wake up with the sunrise. The glass wall is made of single glass, because of this, road noise is very clearly audible.

The staff at the hotel was very kind and attentive and the breakfasts are truly royal. Location is very good, around 15 min from the beach, you can use PickMe to ride form this point.

We really liked this hotel. We lived in a room that faces the road. The noise from the road was audible, but it didn't bother us. The breakfasts are very large and delicious, lots of different fruits and omelet. You can choose the time for breakfast. The room has a small kitchen with a gas or electric stove, kitchen items are available on request. There is a small refrigerator. Each room has a fan and air conditioning. There is a table that is suitable for working at a computer. Wi-Fi in the room on the second floor was not very stable, on the third floor the signal was better. There wasn't always hot water in the shower. Convenient location of the hotel within walking distance from the beach. There are two shops nearby, one of which is located on the ground floor of the hotel. The hotel is very clean, the staff constantly keeps it clean, they sweep the balcony every day. Room cleaning was always carried out promptly upon request. Thanks to Ishu for always being in touch. Thanks to Dnusha for keeping our rooms clean. The staff is not always at their reception, but it’s not usually a problem, because you can text manager via WhatsApp. Also the room doors are of glass. It’s covered with curtains for your privacy, but one might be bothered if someone could see through the small uncovered areas.

The staff was so nice and polite, it really made our stay there. They quickly reacted to all our requests. And they even let us stay a few hours longer for free until our transfer to airport arrives! They showed really great hospitality. The rooms are big and clean. A/C, fan and fridge work well. We also liked the breakfasts so much, they were amazing. We had so many exotic fruits, almost all found in Sri Lanka. We also used laundry services twice for a very pleasant price. The hotel is quite close to the beaches - a few of them in 5 mins by Tuktuk.

I liked my stay fully at Maple Place and definitely will go back. That being said, I wanted to suggest some improvements - 1. Quality of breakfast fell after the first few days - maybe a staff shortage but last two days even the omelette for breakfast for my wife was undercooked and bread were untoasted and soft. Fruits were also not as fresh as the first few days when we had just arrived. 2. Timing of breakfast - We never got breakfast at the time it was requested - sometimes had to wait an hour despite ordering previous day and also informing the timing. This impacts those who want to hit the beach early before the scorching sun. This definitely can be improved - better planning is needed in this. 3. Cleaning - Rooms were clean and cleaning in the corridor was done daily. But obviously, as we stayed, we brought in sand from the beach and though on request cleaning was done - no one came on a daily basis for cleaning the rooms. Even a quick sweep while doing corridors would be helpful.

1. The people - the owner Mr. Dinesh, Tharindu who was managing Maple Place Bookings and the staff who worked there were always helpful and smiling. No request was ignored and they went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. 2. Location - Maple Place is right on a supermarket and there is also another supermarket close by. Pharmacy is next door as well. Restaurants - atleast the good ones are a bit far out. 3. Amenities - Almost everything from towels, hairdryers and soaps to extra blankets were provided on request. Laundry is cheap - SKR 300 for 1 kg and every essential is close by

Location is either pro and con of this property. Property is located by the road, so you can easily access it by car. But cars, buses and trucks drive by 24/7. The room had zero noise cancelling. Staff didn’t provide Wi-Fi password at check-in, I had to ask for it later. Staff also didn’t provide any information about breakfast at check-in, but they did everything for us to get in the morning, called by phone and even brought it to the room, that was nice. And least, but not last. I wouldn’t even write this essay, if the room was as listed on Booking.com. But it was completely different from pictures! That’s unfair, guys. Also, Wi-Fi signal was too weak to work with laptop.

Sadly, the accomodation doesn't look like the pictures and the information on the website isn't correct either. It's quite far away from the actual tourist area and you have to walk along a very busy street without a pedestrian path to get there. The view from the balcony isn't the mountains but a construction site and there is a huge fish in a small and very dirty aquarium in the lobby. We cancelled our 5 night stay and left the next day.

The breakfast is really nice, with fresh fruit, eggs, baked good,... The bathroom is pretty nice as well.
