Not good bathroom

The internet did not work for almost 3 out of the 4 days that I was there. I continued to complain to Robert who finally decided to pay his internet bill. The internet services were then turned on. This is a must for most traveler's. In order to keep his clients safe he must install an awning in the front since coconuts do fall from his trees and he has a liability if one were to fall on a traveler's head; I do not think he realizes it.

The family was friendly and kind. Good location

The owner is building probably new rooms now. He told us that workers gonna stop working at 9pm but they stopped at 11:30 pm. They were making noise and we couldn’t sleep.

For that price it was really nice accommodation. Quite warm, but there is a fan and mosquito net. Free drinking water.

Poor check in. We booked four rooms and the hotel cancelled one without informing us. Stressful time as they had other guests arrive and said two people could not have a room. Sorted in the end but very poor communication. We finally got what we booked. Also prices more expensive than advertised.

- Nothing is clean. The room could use a good cleaning. - The bed sheet has some stains probably from mosquitos. - Open windows in the toilet for everyone to listen to each other! I listened all night for other people taking showers and singing.

I stayed in a budget room. - It has an air-conditioner which is nice. - The size is good. - It Aaso has a fan - Robert drove me on his way to the Cave temple. - location is ok.

We were dropped off to visit the golden temple at 8am and had to walk all the way back to the hotel after only 30 minutes. The hotel is a bit out of town so requires a walk. Nothing to do with the propery but Dambulla has really poor food options for tourists.

The room was comfortable with a modern hot shower available. The owner can arrange a safari which we did and we got to see dozens of elephants in the Hurulu Eco Park. Owner let us try lots of local food on way back from safari.

Bathroom could use some maintenance

Reviews do not lie, Robert and his family are very nice. Robert can organize any trip (made my crazy plan possible). Rooms are quite big and really comfortable Great location in Dambulla: close to main road but quiet

WiFi rarely worked.....and having a srilankan sim mobile internet will not help as this place has no signal....

Everything went well... Robert is always busy and ready to help....there is no breakfast included, obviously for the. Price not possible, but the information should be removed....

The water pressure was very low while taking a shower and there was no warm water. Our booking also said it would be a private bathroom but we ended up having a room with a shared bathroom (he did ask if we wanted to upgrade to another room with private bathroom but we chose the other one for the price we paid). On the other hand, for the price you pay, you can’t expect much. So I recommend staying here when visiting Dambulla!

It’s pretty close to the busstop (700m?) and they also rent scooters which is really nice. You can use their kitchen to cook something and the owners are very friendly, you can ask them anything

Walking from/to the main road during the evening is very dark because there is no light, but with a flashlight it’s OK.

The owners are SO KIND! They helped a lot welcoming, giving attention to my friend that had an accident, offering a tour to the lake, helping cooking… They are a beautiful family! Thank you very much for the hospitality! I highly recommend this place!

The owner of the property was very helpful , welcoming and accommodating. Location is bit off but it's manageable. It was raining in the evening so I couldn't go out for dinner but the owner sent his son out to bring some food. This act won my heart. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Arranged a scooter for my trip to Sigiriya.

Their home is located in a dark spot. Make sure to have a torch with you during the evening. The windows don't have a mosquito net, however you can still use the bed one

The family was super nice and caring. The land lady prepared me a tea with biscuits on arrival and they always made sure I had everything I needed. Robert was really open to give tips and suggestions during my permanence and he has been so kind to drop me off to the cave temple with his tuk tuk. Even his son has been super kind! When I said I was going to Sigiriya, he gave me a lift by motorbike.

The bathroom took some time to get used to, according to cleanliness and modernity.

The host was really obliging, making us tea and helping with everything we asked for. The room was comfy with our own terrace.
