Namal was amazing. He welcomed us as soon as we arrived (offered to pick us up from town too) took our bags up the steps, welcome tea and snacks, took us to town for dinner to the best restaurant! An excellent breakfast with breathtaking views! He helped us plan our day, and drove us free of charge to them with excellent tips! He then drove us to Arugam bay for an excellent price and we saw elephants on the trip. Which he stopped and let us take photos, didn’t rush us at all!! I cannot recommend staying here enough!!! It was the best home stay I’ve ever stayed in

We didn't mind at all, but the place is up on a hill that can be reached only by stairs and this can be challenging for some. But don't let this hold you back from booking this place if you have no problem walking;)

Our favorite guest house in Ella, we even extended our stay because we loved it so much! The host and their whole family is very welcoming, genuinly kind and helpful. Can't forget the grandparents warm smiles, such sweet people! :) The room was comfortable and had many useful things like a water kettle and a mini fridge with drinks, which we really appreciated. Had the best sleep in this place, perhaps because of the comfy bed but also it was very quiet and peaceful. The mountain and waterfall view from the room is just amazing! At the breakfast you'll be fronting this view as well and every morning we got different breakfast and all of them were so tasty. It's only a 10-15min walk to the center from this place, easy to walk along the train tracks and to the other direction you can walk to Ella Rock. Truly truly recommend this place!

The view from the room, porch and breakfast area is amazing! Very friendly host who even dropped us off in Arugambay after our stay for a very fair price. The host had excellent advise on hiking routes. Breakfast was nice too!

The view is just spectacular, and you get to enjoy it from your private terrace. Both the owner and the receptionist are really nice, always helping out and giving us ideas on what to do. Great breakfast too!

The bathroom had a slight smell but I imagine this was from the water.

Lovely little spot. Nice room with an incredible view from the rooftop to relax on. Good value for money. Short walk along the train tracks to get into Ella which was nice.

What the best in this accommodation is the view, truly exceptional! Also guy who helps me with accommodation what really nice, helpful in every aspect of my stay. He ordered a tuktuk to tea factory ( must see)! When a went to Yala he helped me to with a car, and handled good price. Highly recommended

You have to climb some stairs to get there, but this is easily doable. Our luggage got carried upstairs.

Our host was super friendly & caring. Provided tips & advice on anything required. Very good with young kids as well. The view is outstanding on both the valley as a majestic waterfall. Solid breakfast and minibar incl. cold Lion beer.

Nothing I didn’t like. It should be noted that there are steps up to the property so it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone who is less mobile.

The homestay was gorgeous! The people who own it and the man who works there are wonderful. So kind, friendly and helpful, offering tips on what to do, how to get to places and arranging transport. I was welcomed with a pot of tea and some fruit and biscuits which were enjoyed on their roof terrace which was great views. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The best part was the balcony outside the room. The views are incredible (especially sunrise and sunset) and it’s so peaceful to sit there, watching all of the wildlife. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back if I’m ever back in Ella!

The view here is amazing. In the morning you can sit in the swing and the birds will come flying to you. We were there two mornings and both mornings there was a little Kingfisher. Amazing view over the mountains and the waterfall. The host is super friendly and helpful. Really recommend this place

Staff (Suranga) was fantastic. He was constantly checking in to me make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. He organised our transfers, cooked us great food as well as giving us great advice about the area.

The view was perfect. First time I preferred to stay in my balcony then go sightseeing. The room was clean and there are beers in mini fridge which is also great addition for enjoining the view.

Amazing stay a 5-10 min walk on the train tracks from the main town of Ella. Relaxing stay with a beautiful view over Ella rock and the valley. Great hospitality!! I don’t remember the name now but the guy who works there is such a friendly and kind human being :)

From the first moment we fell in love with this place and regretted that we booked just one night. The view from the swing on the balcony is amazing. The decoration of the room and balcony is so beautiful done. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We especially want to thank Suranga. He did everything in his power to help us even when we were no longer guests. Excellent service!

This was not an issue because the weather was cool while we were there, but just note there is no AC in the room. There is a mosquito net, so opening the windows was perfect for us

Pictures can't do the view justice - it is seriously amazing! Having breakfast on the roof deck was a highlight of our entire trip. The hosts were extremely kind and explained how to quickly walk into town and to the Ella Rock hike using the railroad tracks right behind the property. It was far enough from Ella town to be extremely peaceful, yet close enough to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The room itself is quirky and has a lot of character, which we loved!

The surrounding could be tidier and cleaner. many empty bottles in the breakfast area and some trash under the stairs.
