We had a great stay and enjoyed the friendly service and very good Sinhala & Tamil new year breakfast. Excellent rice & curry lunch . Perfect location for relaxation.We will definitely come back again next time. Chathuranga, Thanks for making our trip so memorable.

This was an amazing stay. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful right beside the lake in amongst nature. Our host was awesome and so helpful. The food was incredible too. Definitely our favourite place we stayed during our month long honeymoon.

I loved everything but I gave some advise to the boys how make the room and pool are more attractive with no money involved. I am planning to visit SL in 6 month and wish to see the pool to be truly infinity pool, a mirrow in the room to see full body, the life green wall in the shower. No mouldy 20cm silicon in the shower 🙏

I spent fantastic 3 days at the villa. The boys were very helpful, the temple next door is “Must to visit”. The beauty of the place and tranquility is only shot tuk tuk ride to buzzing beach road. I had a privilege to go to fish market in the morning and buy prawns/lobster. The chef was cooking for me prawns with garlic and scrambled eggs with lobster. My advise for everyone who is in Sri Lanka to buy some batter and give it to the chef. Because every place I went (7) they were always cooking on margarine ( cheap, restless poison). If anyone like some fishing in the morning, I left improvised but useful equipment with the boys.

Waking up to such a serene and picturesque setting created an instant sense of calm and relaxation. What made the location even more appealing was its proximity to both the train station and the main beach, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The location is idyllic, surrounded by nature, bird life, quiet, with beautiful views. The Sri Lankan food is very good and nothing was too much trouble for Chathuranga.

The space is just magical. You'll feel like you're in a private luxury jungle with an incredible view and pool. You can stay here for days indulging in complete relaxation and pleasure. The hosts are super attentive and don't forget to ask for an Sri Lankan breakfast, they are excellent cooks.

This was a positive for us, as we wanted to be away from the main centre, but it was difficult to find. Totally worth it though - it was really peaceful and wouldnt let it being out of the way deter you from staying. I'd also add it would be beneficial to have some carry out a mid stay sweep on the room if you are there for more than one night.

Big call out to the Chef who was amazing - his Rotis and Dhal were the best we had, i wish i had them at home. Would also advise to have an evening meal there and let chef do his thing, you wont regret it. Really delicious and relaxing. The grounds the accommodation are set in are beautiful. Everyone is super friendly and made you feel very welcome. Would highly recommend

Beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful, very friendly and helpful host who made our stay here! Beautiful rooms with the most amazing views, wonderful infinity pool with incredible views. If you want peace and quiet to relax this is the place. We stayed here for 5 days and hardly left as it was just so beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

The mosquitoes are a lil scary, but the staff helps with a rather potent repellent, which is a life saver.

The setting of the place is a winner. Next to a tranquil lake. Currently, they have just two rooms, so it results in a very quiet stay. The pool is the icing on the cake. Staff is super helpful & genuinely warm. This is far from the beach. So if you are a total beachbum or a person who hates laid-back relaxed doing nothing days, then this is not for you. You can be assured of great quiet getaway here backed by some really awesome food prepared by the in-house chef. Will recommend this to anyone who is looking for something other than the beach in Hikkadua.

We've had the most wonderful time during our visit at Serendipity Lake. Jayantha (Jay) has been most accomodating, always ready to help out and a great chef to boot. We stayed for 9 days and are very happy it was this long. You can stroll around the large estate full of trees, shadow and quiet. The large swimming pool is kept meticulously clean and overlooks the lake 20 meters away. There are a number of places to sit or lie down, all adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The room was just perfect: large, clean, with good working airconditioning and partly outside shower (we had the larger room). All in all it's one of the best experiences we had in Sri Lanka, and we certainly recommend staying here if you have the chance.

The location is a bit out of the way but that does mean you get great peace and quite.

Amazing facilities, great room with a comfortable bed and amazing bathroom. However, the infinity pool is the best thing about the property.

Location - it is away from the shops, restaurants and the beach. But it’s quiet and relaxing, and you can reach everything by tuk tuk, so it isn’t really a drawback, but something to be aware of

Very friendly and helpful staff! We could adjust time and menu for our breakfast day before and were allowed to have a late checkout. New modern facilities, big TV with Netflix access, clean rooms, hot water and shower with good pressure, clean cozy territory which is looked after. We totally had the feeling of a private villa (which it almost is, the hotel has only 2 rooms) - great value for the money!

stunning location right on the lake, views are even better than in the pictures. the pool is shared between only two rooms so you have it to yourself most of the time. extremely well maintained and thought out property- with some of the fastest wifi we have seen in Sri Lanka! staff are great and Sujithsilva cooked us a delicious dinner and breakfast.

Everything. stunning property far from noise with amazing view. situation overlooking the lake and the infinity pool were incredible. i felt I had booked into a private island as I had it all to myself, a real ‘pinch me’ experience for the exceptional value , I felt I was dreaming!
