If you want a pleasant and very quiet stay for visiting the cultural triangle Summer Haven is perfect. The staff do all the best for you, very good swimming pool and garden. Good rooms and beds. Good cocktails and food. Parking inside.

Breakfast is inside in a big hall, but might be nicer outside next to the pool! Location a bit far from city centre, fine by bike or tuk tuk.

Very kind staff and manager. We have been travelling through Sri Lanka by road bike and always struggle to find places where they accept our bikes inside the room. At this hotel this was not an issue at all, very kind manager. Swimming pool is great and has long opening times. Definitely recommend for bikepacking trips :)

Best Location for visiting the ancient city. Extremly friendly and helpful staff,the extraordinary boss fullfills you every Special Wish.He bought for us a fresh Lake fish and the cook made it delicious! From all Transports and National Park he organised local people who know where to Go(we saw about 50 wild elephants).Amazing stay,we could be much longer under these conditions.

The food was very delicious and the staff at the hotel were very hospitable and kind. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable, the pool was great and heated plus the kids had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this hotel everyone!

The hotel s ambiance was inviting and the staff's genuine hospitality stood out. Every interaction felt personalized, making my stay truly special. I especially loved the room. It's really worth the price.. There is a great Swimming Pool here. The location is fantastic, just a 10min drive to Polonnaruwa town. The breakfast spread was also delightful.

Cleanliness, high quality services provided by all the staff, very caring and efficient manager, excellent food, comfortable bed and nice fluffy pillows, as well as tea making facilities, and the low room rate. Without any doubt we received very good value for the miney we spent. In particular, Kumara, the manager of Summer Haven, did everything possible to satisfy the customer needs without any delay. He provided an excellent service as a manager. We will definitely stay at Summer Haven on our next visit, and will also spread the word among our friends.

First of all, we loved the staff! They treated us like a king/ queen throughout our whole stay. It was so much attention that we sometimes felt bad to be treated that good but it seemed that the people love their job and that’s something that you could see every day. Furthermore, the food was fantastic! We did not expect to be served such brilliant meals. It was all lovely prepared and we could not tell which of the meals was the best because they all tasted great! Last but not least, we had the pool for ourselves! Since there was no one else in the hotel we could enjoy the sun in complete silence and had dinner directly at the pool. Loved it! We can only recommend to stay at this hotel and to experience the kindness and hospitality of the people working there.

There were unseen bugs in the bed. And we both had bites on bodies. I think it was because of carpet on the floor. They need sterilization in the room.
