Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LatviaCould not connect to free wi-fi. Very bad smell from the sewer. The staff did not respond to questions either via SMS or through booking.com. Considering that the staff is not on site at the hotel, they should be well accessible virtually. But they was not.
Super comfy bed. Clean and cozy room, very silent.

BelgiumThe lamp near to the bed did not work, there are no curtains and we were not told we had to check in in an other hotel that we already had passed when we arrived. We had to wait one hour and three quarters before food was served.

NetherlandsWe liked the cosy former watermill and its nice restaurant. This annex to the hotel is situated ±1 km from the Auberge.

GermanyThe key was not available at the Hotel. The key must be collected at the Domaine du Moulin d'Asselborn which is 1 km and 75 m difference in altitude away. Not optimal arriving with a bicycle or without car.

LuxembourgWhen we arrived at the location we realised the hotel didn't exist anymore. No one had told us that we were rebooked a little further away in the moulin d asselborn. We were stressed to get to a wedding on time. In the new location the bed squeaked with every movement, the room was small and dark, the sheets were frayed. We were not compensated for the inconvenience of the rebooking and the hotel did not respond to my complaint either on facebook or by email.

SwitzerlandWifi did not work Room not quite finished. No curtains and part of shower fell off whilst having a shower. Room cleaning took under 5 mins (towels changed and beds made only). Tile floor not cleaned and it got dirty over a four day stay.
The location was 4 minutes walk from where I was working, which was great

BelgiumKey for checking and checkout at 1km at Domaine du moulin d’Asselborn, with steep 10% slope. Breakfast and dinner also available at 1km. Not easy for hikers and bikers. The entrance of Auberge du relais postal is messy: two full smelly garbage bags, the bar is broken, a tumble dryer and a washing machine are standing in the middle of the entrance. There is also a kind of museum in the entrance with a horse drawn carriage. No wifi code. No kettle & tea.

GermanyThe hotel is completely confusing because the check-in is in another hotel that is down in the valley, the room is up on the hill and the breakfast is again down in the valley. The road between the hotels is really steep (10%) and really hard for cyclists to go back to the top side hotel. And the whole 1st floor of the top hotel was smelling like cigaretes. Disappointed, but maybe it's different if you live down in the valley.
The room was clean and in nice place for traveling with bicycle.
