Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe communication upon arrival was a bit difficult as Jamal was not home. The woman who welcomed us did not speak English or French. She was very kind and showed us our room. Though, we couldn't ask about any tours or restaurants.
The breakfast was good with tea, fresh juice, coffee, cake and more. The location is a bit outside of Imlil. It can be hard to find. Jamal the owner is very helpfull if you want to arrange a tour or something else.

NetherlandsAfter a little walk from the mainroad and up some stair, you'll end up at a wonderful Moroccan guesthouse with an very good value for money. Every morning there is a lovely breakfast made in the livingroom and the rooms they provide are spacious. The owner Jamal is really helpful and friendly and thanks to him I hiked to the summit of Toubkal.

SpainGood stay, you have to walk like 10 minutes from the main road where you leave the car. The room was really cold in winter, however we had enough blankets. The bathroom was ok, however the sink had a leak and the water was spread all over the floor. Very good breakfast, the views from the terrace were amazing. The price was really cheap. In the common area you have a heater. About 20-25 walking from the centre of Imlil.

BelgiumThis is a small guesthouse with only a few rooms and a large common area and roof terrace. Location is excellent and breakfast was generous. Bedsheets could have been a little cleaner but there were plenty of blankets for cold nights. If nobody's home upon arrival, just find a kid in the village to fetch the owner.

United KingdomLocation on Booking is wrong. Is about 10 minutes further on in a neighbouring village. Hard to find without help but locals helpful. Owner was glum but helpful when asked. His wife was quite sour, but this was not a problem for us.
Very nice rural settling. Room large and clean. Bed comfy. Good breakfast, enough vegan bits to fill up on.

United KingdomThe walk from the town, to the hotel was very long and most of it in the dark - but that is the nature of the location. It could be better lit.
I loved the location, it was phenomenal. Literally in the middle of nowhere, with a view of several mountains - you want to get away from it all. Come here. The family who live below, were wonderful, helpful and very accommodating. 10/10

United States of AmericaI thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Dar Atlas! The rooms were clean and the wifi worked well, and the host Jamal was very accommodating. I visited in the summer, when it was a bit warm, so I needed to crack a window but otherwise it was a comfortable stay. The breakfast was quite a tasty array of fruit spreads and bread. Note that Dar Atlas is in Ait Souka, so it's a little bit of an uphill walk from Imlil center. Not only was Jamal an exceptional host, through him I was able to arrange at the last minute a trek around the Toubkal circuit. At around 8:30 pm the night I arrived, I spoke with Jamal about possibilities for treks to Toubkal and the surrounding Berber villages. Within a couple hours we had settled on a 4 day trek departing the next day from Imlil to Refuge du Toubkal (day 1), the refuge to Jbel Toubkal and back to the refuge (day 2), to Tizi n’ Ouanoumss, where we then descended down to a waterfall and then to the Berber village of Tizi Oussem (day 3), and then finally returning to Imlil (day 4). And last but certainly not least, I must mention the excellent muleteer/cook and the guide that Jamal selected to accompany me on my trek. Ibrahim, the guide, was not only exceptionally knowledgeable about the terrain, history and culture of Jebel Toubkal and the Berber people, he was super friendly and engaging, which made the hours spent hiking in the Atlas that much more enjoyable! He also spoke good english which made communication easy. Muhammad, the cook/muleteer, was also a joy to be around, and I was astonished at the quality of the meals he would cook up seemingly out of thin air. My experience in the High Atlas would not have been the same without Ibrahim and Muhammad, and I look forward to coming back to Morocco some day and going on another trek with them and staying with Jamal at Dar Atlas.

IsraelThe rooster croaked all night and it was far & hard to find
It's a cosy place, good for hikers. The village is very nice, we went up to see but it's far from the road, luckily I was with a driver otherwise I wouldn't find it. I don't think it's good for a solo woman traveler You better chose a room on the left side as mine was to the right and it was A rooster that croaked all night
