Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNot much we didn’t like, they took good care of everything. The only negative might be that to get to the property you have to go up a number of stairs which might be difficult depending on the number of luggage you have. But there’s always people available on the streets willing to help for a small fee.
Property was clean and warming. Felt like a real Moroccan house. There was home cooked food served for dinner which tasted amazing. Breakfast was good too. We arrived in the winter season so it was cold, but we had ample covers and a room heater.

United KingdomThere were LOTS of stairs and separate buildings all roughly joined together, which made it feel a little disjointed.
Really friendly staff and super helpful. Central location and very clean, if somewhat basic.

ThailandMohamed is a great host, warm and welcoming; and his house / Riad beautiful. Our room (for 4) was on the top floor, clean and comfortable - not very large for a family of 4 but suitable, with its en-suite bathroom and good hot water shower. It was very close to the terrace providing a beautiful view over Moulay Idriss. Breakfast is excellent and dinner delicious with great Moroccan food! Finding a spot for our car was quite easy. Location is perfect for exploring the city and just a few kilometers away from Volubilis. Overall, we were very happy with our stay! Highly recommended.

United States of AmericaIt is a family run business, the owner and his family were very nice. We arrived in the evening and they were very kind by making us a dinner that is not on their menu, really tailored to our food preference. The room is very clean. From their top floor, you can see a nice view of the small town.

United States of AmericaEverything was top quality. We regret that we could not stay longer. Next time!
We loved our host Mohammed. He is so engaging and delights in pleasing others. We needed to leave the hotel early in the morning to be first at Volubilis (what ruins!) and he offered to make us a breakfast at 6:30 if we wanted. We could not accept, but the gesture touched our hearts. The hotel itself is museum quality, a true riad in every sense.

New ZealandWe felt that the facilities need upgrading and that we were being asked to pay the same prices as in Meknes or Fez, for a slightly inferior service.
We liked the fact that the Riad belonged to and was run by the family.

GermanyThe matresses were rather laid through (in the top room), we both didn‘t sleep well. All the other matresses in Marokko were much better. The price/performance ratio in winter in quite bad, we had other riads with similar prices which were far better and more beautiful. (I guess the other ones offeres low season discounts while this one didnt).
Don‘t expect beautiful rooms or new matresses. The top terasse offers great views. Also good water pressure (for Marokko) and very hot shower (even at 8pm). The aircon also can be turned to heat and the room was nice and warm (very important in winter). Be aware that you have to walk to the hotel which probably would be annoying with large luggage.

BelgiumOnly 30 seconds of running hot water, they turn of the heating (switch in the hallway). It’s not that hot in Marocco at 8AM so a bit of warmth (shower) or heating would be nice. Wouldn’t come back.
Not that many options in town, the rooftop has an amazing view over Moulay Idriss.
