Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThis riad nestled within the Medina of Marrakech offers an unforgettable experience. Its prime location immerses guests in the vibrant atmosphere of the city, while the delightful breakfast served on the terrace provides a perfect start to the day. With an excellent quality-to-price ratio, this hotel is a gem for travelers seeking authenticity and comfort in Marrakech.

PortugalThe location was very bad, it’s hard to find the Riad on the Medina, the streets are very very narrow,,when people see you are a tourist they are very nice to helping you with the information but they will take a lot money from you, they always have other friend to ask to help you and get money from you, this is the very negative point in this Area ,

United KingdomJust so others know the hotel itself is down a dark winding alley which did not come up on my Apple Maps, this can make it hard to find especially if arriving in the dark!
Staff were exceptional and so helpful, the breakfast was lovely and the hotel itself is clean and well decorated with a great roof terrace with lovely views. Great location only a few minutes walk from the central square.

Irelandwhen I organised a tour (eg the sunset), they accept my pick up location (hotel) but then they cannot pick us up as they cannot drive there, that was a bit confusing but sorted it out in the end
a wonderful cosy hotel with very friendly staff, great food and location. The hotel staff were very helpful in printing off our boarding cards for the return journey, I would recommend this hotel to others. Very friendly staff. I also had a pedicure there and was lovely

IrelandWe arrived into marrakech late and our taxi driver called the riad to ask if someone could meet us as it is not easy to find. But there was something about not meeting us because we booked the taxi through booking rather than the hotel. It was a bad start because we didn't feel comfortable walking so late with our bags but the only thing that went wrong.
Lovely big rooftop room accommadated a family of 5 comfortably. Lovely breakfast and pleasant leisure areas.

PolandNothing, just the first night we could not use air con as we did know how to turn it on. I think you should show the guest how it works to avoid such situation.
In fact I liked everything. It is nice riad, very close to the center. We stayed in Safran Suite which is specious and has beautiful Maroccan decoration. I felt it was the right place to be in Marrakesh. Reasonable price.

AustraliaOverpriced bottled water. Staff reluctant to do anything extra eg. Print a small document that we had booked during the stay there and required a printed copy of a ticket rather than an electronic. Breakfast didn't start until 8.30am so most breakfasts were rushed or missed to get to tours that start at 9am. Just small things to consider. I would stay here again due to the great location.
Great location - so close to the main market area. Clean and comfortable. We got a discounted rate so for us good value for money. If paying full price we would have expected more. Local streets to the Riad felt safe. No one hassled you in the streets near the Riad.

United KingdomI think it would be helpful if information about the spa was on show. I wanted to get a massage but as we were only staying 2 days I didn't bother to enquire. If the information was on show somewhere, like open times, prices and availability I probably would have had a treatment.
The riad is well located in the central area. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Breakfast was great. All you need, freshly prepared and served on the rooftop terrace. The location is great. It is safe and the area is clean. Hotel Ghali is located inside the medina and very close to all Marrakesh highlights. With google maps you can find everything easily. The room was very clean and we especially liked the good quality bedsheets, The prepared our room earlier than the official check-in time because one of us got sick. We appreciated this very much.

United KingdomThe bathroom was extremely small. No bidet or Muslim shower for hygiene purposes. Shower pressure extremely poor. Hot and cold taps mixed up so be careful not to burn yourself as water can get very hot. Prices for spa treatment were double the price. The suite was cramped. Having a single bed to make it a 3 had ruined the decor of the fabulous room. At times it was difficult to get to the bathroom without knocking yourself against the tv or the coffee table which we couldn't use, again due to lack of space in the room. Single pillows don't help in any hotel. Overall didn't get much for the price paid e.g fridge, gowns, slippers, mineral water in room. Only toiletries provided are shower gel and hand soap. Pool is not heated at all.
All the staff were amazing as soon as we entered Munir was very welcoming and attended to all our needs and requests 10/10. The kitchen staff were also very welcoming and always smiling. The design and features of the riad were better than expected. Hot water during the cold mornings. We asked the staff for extra pillows and they provided without hesitation. Towels were soft and thick. Cosy feel, lighting, ambience, location.

United States of AmericaHad some unexpected charges added on arrival and didn't feel that my concerns were understood, although the woman at the reception tried to be very professional. The room needed curtains for privacy and to block light. To be fair, they promised to get them for the next night, but we were only staying one. Imagine it will be fixed for the next guests.
The Riad is very well kept and nicely decorated - very convenient to the Jemaa el Fna. Munir, who was on duty overnight, was extremely helpful and went to great effort to ensure we were comfortable. The breakfast on the rooftop was good.

PortugalThe staff were amazing! Fatimaezzahra and Rachida went above and beyond for us, especially during breakfast, we have a lot to thank them! The place where we took our breakfast is a restaurant less then a minute a way (L’amazigh) in a cozy rooftop. We also had the chance to have dinner there once, and not only the food was to die for but also the employees were very friendly. Maria, and the other guy from the front desk that we don’t know the name, were also super kind and helpful. The Riad is right in the middle of the souks, and we could walk safely. We were a bit apprehensive in the beginning because of some comments about how the way to the Riad being a bit dark and hard to find, but it was always really easy for us and at night they path is bright enough. We were to girls and we always felt safe there. The swimming pool in the lobby was good, and what we need after days walking and exploring.

United KingdomAt the check out I ask the stuff to go through a back door in the front of my bedroom which leads direct to the outside of the riad instead of going up and down the stairs and carrying my suitcase and through the main entrance I was surprised by the staffs responds they refused to open the door by telling me we don't have the keys to it yet "the door was for emergency fire exits" I did explain that I have a lower back issue and I can't carry my suitcase up and down the stairs yet they refused to open the door, then I ask if there is somebody can help me to carry it through and they said no we don't have anyone I was shocked by the answer and for that reason I would not recommend this riad.
On my arrival the gentleman (receptionist) was really polite and helpful. In the morning I was looking forward to the breakfast but it was ok nothing special and the service was slow, the terrace sitting area where we had the breakfast was dated and lacking of Moroccan character.
