Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaShower holder was broken. Location is a bit far from the center of Medina and tricky to get to,
Absolutely beautiful. Most gorgeous Riad we have stayed. It is even more beautiful than the Chateau and relais property. Excellent rooms, breakfast.

Amazing, exactly as the photos and staff were all very friendly. Ayman was particularly helpful and works so hard. Breakfasts on the terrace were a lovely way to start the day and returning to the peace of the Riad a great end to busy days.

United States of AmericaThe only caveat was the guide that we booked through the hotel. They called a central agency who assigned the guide, so don't believe they had much input on the specific guide, but he was purely pushing shops where he earned a hefty commission. Zero history or local context and we caught him in a dozen lies - "today is last day of art festival and shops are heavily discounted" etc. Unpleasant and would encourage vetting guides before beginning tour
The best hotel we stayed at in Morocco - the hotel is exquisitely refurbished in a perfect location close to the edge of the Medina. Breakfast is phenomenal as are the dinner options. Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. Our group also booked the Hamam and massage, which was a great way to relax after the long transit into Fez. Highly recommend Riad Rcif all around

BelgiumAmazing palace experience as an accommodation. Good location in Fes' mediaeval Medina. This riad is exceptional, it truly was a palace! The breakfast in the terrace is unique, so fresh and tasty with unrivaled views of the city. I tried the best beef with apricots and prunes tajine in the riad (they offer dinner too). Even the handsoap smelled great! Would return in the blink of an eye.

The riad is stunning, very comfortable and spotless clean. The design made us feel like in an "Arabian Nights" fairytale. My son enjoyed the swimming pool even though the water was too cold for me. The staff was extremely nice, helpful and welcoming, and kindly offered some mint tea a couple of times. We had our 5 dinners there as the food was delicious and we enjoyed having them on the roof top terrace. The place is a bit tricky to find but that's the price to pay to stay in the heart of the vibrant Medina. Our stay in the riad was a highlight of our trip in Morocco.

GermanyAs in a lot of riads in Morocco, the windows of the room go to the inner yard. So you can also hear noise of guests coming and going if you keep your window open. (There are not a lot of rooms and not a lot of noise, though). I learnt during my travels in Morocco that the staff in most riads (hotels) has incredible working hours (basically 24/7, no free day. No kidding. No matter if you arrive late at night or very early in the morning, the same staff will be there for you), and they work for a ridiculously low pay. I don't see why we pay western prices when staff don't get a western income. No wonder they all are just saving money to escape to Europe, or hope for a better job. Hotel owners should pay their staff better and offer shifts.
Wonderfully decorated palace, in typical Moroccan style, in the Medina of Fez. Rooftop terrace for breakfast and dinner, nice view over the city and the surrounding hills. Great spa (hammam). Nice staff.

NetherlandsThere's nothing to complain, really!
We loved absolutely everything, from the riad itself to the staff. Everyone was always so happy and ready to help! We felt at home. Salim, the manager, was very sympathetic and was always present and concerned about our well-being. The staff was super fun! We not only had amazing conversations but they also gave us a lot of recommendations about tours and places to visit. They even helped us with an issue we had with a spa. And speaking of it, we had a great time at the riad spa. It was on the day of my birthday, so we had a combined session of hammam and massage, which was amazing! The two massagists were very kind, respectful, and talented. Last but not least, the food was delicious, always in abundance, and with a lot of options (try the chicken pastilla!). Our experience in Fes would never be the same!

CanadaBeing February it was cold and rainy and I found that some areas of the hotel were a bit cold as well. I imagine in warmer months that it would be a great respite from the heat.
The rooms were stunningly gorgeous and the entire hotel is a feast for the eyes and a big respite from the hectic Medina just around the corner outside the door. The lobby is dominated by a beautiful pool with meals served just beyond. Dinner had a good variety of Morrocan foods and breakfast was a delicious variety of foods and breads. Upon request they made us some beautiful eggs. We had a Hammam spa with a massage and it was one of the best that I have ever had. The staff were very helpful and attentive
