Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomShower. Not enough water supply and the shower head was broken.
The housekeepers were kind and considerate. We found our room in an immaculate condition every time we came back. Even our clothes were folded.

United States of America1. I arranged with Riad to be picked up from the airport since we were arriving late. Driver was waiting outside which was nice. When we got to medina he stopped and said that manager from riad will come for us. Meanwhile I sent message with question who do I pay ? The driver or at riad - service wasn't good so I didn't get answer right away. The "manager" came and walked us to riad. When we walked in I asked "do I pay you?" He said " you pay me" so I gave him 20 euros for the cab as it was arranged. Then the front desk person ( I forgot his name ) said no you pay me and he told the "manager " who walked us to give money back and they started to argue. "Manager" gave money back and he was clearly upset and front desk person said give some money to my friend. I gave him 2 euros ( all I had in change) and he looked with grim on his face and said no and gave it back. During payment for our stay , front desk person repeated few more times to give some money for his friend. This was very interesting encounter and uncomfortable at the same time, since the :manager" who walked us appeared to live/ hang out in the building across from riad and we would see him everytime we would leave/ come back . 2. No locks on doors - I fel little uneasy to leave door unlocked- I know it's small riad and staff has control who walks in but lock gives you some piece of mind ( other riads I stayed in had that option.
Nice place to stay. Very friendly ladies who cooked and tied up our rooms.

United KingdomWe didn't realise that the Riad was a bit further away from the Main market and square...But we ended up walking a lot also during the late hours and it didn't feel unsafe.
Stunning Riad, absolutely beautiful architecture.Plenty of outdoor space for relaxing and chill in the heart of busy and noisy Medina. Staff was very friendly and made sure that all our needs and requirements were met. Rooms cleaned daily. Nice Breakfast, but you gotta ask for an omlette, otherwise it's pretty basic. Very tasty coffee, fresh orange juice, fruits, jam and some fresh bread.

TurkeyThe only thing I didn't like was that there was no key from the main door, so you need to knock and wait for somebody to open which didn't feel comfortable.
The riad was decorated in a typical Maroccan style, my room was spacious and comfortable. The overall atmosphere in the riad was very calm, friendly and felt like a home. All the stuff of the riad was very friendly and helpful. The riad was very silent. Although it was quite far from Jema alFna, there were many shop all way long, so this was a nice walk. Also it was close to the gate of the old Medina and it was easy to walk to a nearest spot where you can find a taxi. Riad can be easily found by Google maps. I overall enjoyed my stay a lot.

Italywater of the shower was a little cold the evening we arrived but it got better the next day. The Rihad is a little difficult to find when it’s dark but many children are there ready to help you find it.
very nice room with a big bathroom, comfortable bed and very nice decorations. The ladies at the Rihad were very very nice and kind, while breakfast was amazing, absolutely recommended!

United KingdomThe only thing I would like to improve is that the double bed we had (which was very comfortable) was made up of 2 mattresses joined together. We didn't really notice until after a couple of nights as the gap between the mattresses became wider. However, saying that, the bed and mattresses were very comfortable.
I and my wife really enjoyed our stay at Riad Sable Chaud. I wanted to go for something more traditional than a hotel, and staying at this Riad was definitely what I wanted. The room was tidy when we arrived and the working assistant made sure it was kept spotless. The staff at the Riad were amazing, especially the sister who cleaned up the rooms. The breakfast and mint tea was a nice touch too, however, we did not eat lunch or dinner at the Riad so I cannot comment on that. The showers had hot water which was great. The location is good too, a 20-minute (ish) walk and you can get to Koutobia, Jemaa el Frna, Souks, etc.

PolandYou don't get the key to the property, so every time you come back you have to wait for somebody to open the door.

IrelandBreakfast was okay. I think some fresh pastries would have added to the experience. Most people in the riad were French. The riad itself is not in a good area and I didn’t enjoy the walk, amongst meat traders. Next time, I would stay in Gueliz and skip the riad/medina experience. Staff in the riad were very hospitable.

IrelandThe terrace could have been more well maintained. We went during February so no summer season yet, just after reopening of Morocco so probably that was the reason why it was not ready. French or Arabic language are needed for a proper communication.
The excellent staff, momo the host, the cleaner, she was amazing! Very quiet place, beautiful Moroccan decor. Excellent food freshly prepared. View from the terrace, the Moroccan bakery in front of the riad.
