A beautiful house with a wonderful view, well decorated and fully -equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were big and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was very gentle and offered us some tips about a hiking route and of course we followed his suggestion. We will definitely be back!

The views and comfort make the slight challenges of reaching this property worthwhile. [If you are planning to self-cater, remember to shop before you arrive.] I loved the trust system that allowed for self check-in and for the purchase of drinks and snacks (bring cash). The shared bathroom and kitchen were a delight, the bedroom small but comfortable and attractive. A lovely option when visiting the gorge.

The view was amazing! The interior was also very nice and well decorated. Very comfortable beds. But again, the view and location are breathtaking to a point that you dont want to leave the balcony. The owner is very nice, friendly and very helpful! Thanks Ilija 😃

Amazing view. The host went above and beyond and picked me up from the bus stop, let me use the washing machine in their personal home and dropped me into Matka village! Definitely one of the best spots I’ve stayed. It is a gravel hike up a hill to the property- but it’s worth it. Relaxed vibe and very clean. Would recommend! Thank you for my stay and your help Ilija :)

The house is located very close to the Matka bus stop but you need to climb a couple of hundred meters to reach it, which can be challenging if you are carrying heavy luggage.

The view from the balcony is exactly as on the pictures, just amazing. The flat is very spacious and you will find every thing you need in the kitchen for cooking meals. One of the rooms also offers a view on the mountains. Wi-Fi is available and the host is quick to answer. There are some snacks available in the house for a small price (beers, sodas, chips etc).

The view! A place where you HAVE to be! One of a kind. The hospitality from Ilija was very helpful, he was very kind. He gave us advice to what to do in Matka and extra tips for the surroundings and how to arrive to Ohrid as well. (With amazing sightseeings)

The view, the view is AMAZING. Everything else was great too but the view.. just wauw. Its like a 10 minute walk uphill from the last busstop to Matka and I am very happy I decided to stay here :)

The host was very nice and helpful! The view from the accomodation was incredible - such as its location. Further, the facilities were great - I was able to cook and relax properly at home. I had the best sleep in quite a while as well - and can only recommend staying there

This isn't anything to do with the accomodation itself, but if you're leaving by bus, then any timetables you see locally or online are not accurate and are not official. Be prepared to wait up to two hours for a bus.

This is an absolutely beautiful accomodation. It's peaceful, spacious and impeccably clean. The owners were very accomodating and friendly while offering great advice on the local area. When I arrived they had the most beautiful soft therapeutic music playing and it made the welcome a true pleasure. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful and warm and all toiletories were supplied which is a relief for us travelers. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you'll need for cooking and the wifi was realible and fast. Overall, I couldn't have hoped for better.

We felt extremely comfortable. The host picked us up on the way and brought us to the accommodation, so we didn't have to carry our luggage up the mountain. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you need - fully stocked kitchen, coffee, netfllix , good music and comfy beds. The host gave us some recommendations on hiking routes. The house was clean and the internet was very good. And the best: the breathtaking view of the mountains from the balcony. We can recommend the accommodation to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay in nature.

The place and Ilija, as a host, were just amazing. The view from the lodge is beautiful. The nights are really quiet and calming. The apartment itself is so clean, well designed, and decorated. The kitchen has everything one could ask for. Dining and drinking a good glass of wine on the balcony during the evening has really been a beautiful experience. From the lodge, the Matka Canyon and some hiking trails are reached easily by foot. Ilija, as a host, was the most kind and welcoming person. He even offered to take us up to the lodge and brought us back down as we checked out as the path to the lodge is quite steep. We could always reach him in case of a question or problem. We really recommend a stay at the Canyon View Lodge for anyone who needs a break from the busy city life.

There was no such thing.

The lodge is situated in a very special spot in Canyon Matka. You have a beautiful view from the terrace of a spacious 2 bedroom appartment with a big living room and a kitchen. All is clean, newly furnished, with a touch of art and good taste. We felt cozy and welcomed. The hosts are super nice, communicative and friendly. Ilija was also helpful with tips for visiting the Canyon. We were their first guests, and we can only recommend the place for all other visitors - either couples, or families (we are family of 4 people). Get ready for a pretty adventurous drive up the hill to get to the lodge, however we managed with Skoda Rapid (no 4WD :-).
