The service was beyond excellent. When we arrived we were shown to a beautiful room which, unfortunately, had no view. I commented on this to a staff member and was almost immediately met by one of the owners, Jan, who offered to move us to another room. This room was just as amazing as the previous room, but with a beautiful view of the pool and patio area. The rooms are very modern, clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel also offers a restaurant and bar and my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner and drinks while sitting in the beautiful patio area. The hotel is also within walking distance of many of the Merida attractions. I almost forgot to mention that Jan offered us so many great suggestions on what to see and where to eat. We took his advice and came away with a wonderful Merida experience. I cannot express in words how happy we were with our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Nothing-Everything was pretty much perfect!

We came to Merida for a concert, and can’t wait to come back! We loved the service! We loved the food! There was no need to figure out where to go to eat as the food at the hotel was amazing! We felt like we were at home! Very comfortable king sized bed & large spacious room and bathroom, with perfect little touches! Loved the retro espresso coffee maker in our room! It was terrific coffee and the little touch of the chocolate biscuits were nice. There is a small fridge in the room( which made it nice for her some leftovers & drinks that we brought.) also, there was a small safe. We loved the ambiance of the whole place! It was a beautiful stay!

I have only nice things to say about Mérida Santiago Hotel.

Mario, Rita, and Rodrigo went out of their way to make this a wonderful stay. They arranged a delightful tour of Uxmál and helped me navigate Mérida. The location is great, rooms are very comfortable, restaurant and bar are convenient. I would have taken a cooking class if I’d had more time. They even helped me with COVID testing before my flight home.

There was nothing to not like!

This place is wonderful! There’s something about small boutique hotels that just can’t be beat. Jan (sp?), Rita, Mario, Chef Maria, the cleaning staff, EVERYONE here is super friendly, helpful, professional, and made me and my cousin feel at home like we were with family! The space is small, beautiful, and quiet. A perfect location to get everywhere. No matter where we went it seemed like everything was a 15-20 minute walk. The room was quite spacious and the shower was large. The water pressure could’ve been stronger, but we did have hot water! There is a safe in the room for locking up valuables as well. The wi-fi was fast and reliable as well. The restaurant is fantastic!! On the day that we were checking out we had to catch a bus at 7:30AM. Mario handled arranging our taxi to pick us up around 6:45 to take us to the ADO station. He made us sandwiches and snacks to take with us the next morning. We were expecting to just leave the next morning and drop the key behind the counter since it would be so early and the staff is not usually there that early. To my surprise, Rita appeared around 6:30AM to greet us, and offer us coffee and ensure we got safely into our taxi. We thought that was so sweet! I will stay here any time I am in Merida.

The owners and staff are very friendly, and gave us a warm welcome. They recommended many things to visit in and around Mérida. We also did the mezcal y tequila tasting, which was given by their great chef Jamil. The breakfast is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, and we loved all (colorful) details in the restaurant, pool area and rooms. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Everything was perfect

We loved this hotel and stayed longer than we originally planned. The owners have a very good attentions to details, everything is modern and renovated, clean and taken care after. It’s not only beautiful but also well located in a quiet area 10-15 minutes walking to the city center. We received tips tailored to our taste for the rest of our vacation and I can tell you those were great! We loved the food in the restaurant, and even took a cooking class with them that we enjoyed a lot. Would always stay here again!
