Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaBoth pool areas got little sun during the day so that the water in the pool was frigid. The infinity hot tubs were warm enough to dip in, thought the pool on the pool deck didn't get sun until noon and it wasn't well set up for enjoying the sun.
I had an beautiful view/vista of the bay and surrounding area.

United States of AmericaVery close to downtown zona romantica. The last hill to the hotel is a bit of a challenge when walking, but was a great challenge for the week. (you could always uber back to the hotel)

United States of AmericaAs I said it's my kind of place. If there is anything that I didn't like I cannot think of it. There is a steep hill before you get to del bosque st. I climbed it twice and thought it was going to kill me. But that is not Isabels fault. No, I have no complaints.
I liked everything about Casa Isabel. It is my kind of place. Being able to leave the door open for the cross breeze is testimony to the privacy you have. Watching the sunset from the restaurant and bar is truly breath taking. And, the food is good too. Oh, and we loved the shower.

CanadaThe wifi was not good so communicating with family back home was difficult.
We enjoyed our dinners at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the views were spectacular. The suites were very spacious and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The pools were lovely and never busy. We enjoyed the personality of the front desk manager Johnathon. He was helpful and had a sense of humour. Isabel the owner was also very friendly and welcoming.

Canada- My first BIGGEST complaint. Late into the night a group of local teenagers on motorbikes really like gathering around the main gate (yes, where the "gathering point" is, with a nice view through the fence). With their modified exhausts, they would ride up there on that narrow street right below your windows. Then they would start having some enthusiastic conversations with occasional laughs, blasting music on their smartphones. This nonsense would go on for a couple hours- can be from 3am-5am, can be from 11:30pm to 1:00am- you never know. My earplugs couldn't isolate their noise. One day after they were gone, at 5:30am some car came around blasting Spanish music at full volume. Reports to the management were left unanswered. The above makes me think there's zero security at the hotel at night. Otherwise they would have intervened. At night you're on your own. - My second BIGGEST complaint. I decided to explore the pool around noon or so. I fell into the maintenance hatch between two loungers, right next to the pool which was left OPEN with ZERO signs around, like a boobytrap. Two maintenance guys were around and watching us all that time. After asking us if we were ok they closed the hatch and fled. I texted the manager about it. He showed up pretty fast. He checked the hatch, said something along "yes, not sure why they didn't use any signs... we have the signs... why not use it...". And he was gone too. Couple minutes later he sent me a text with a generous offer of two free cocktails at the bar. No follow up the next day whatsoever. *sigh*.. At that moment I had a couple of nasty bruises on my knee and elbow. I could really use a first aid kit, man, not a cocktail. Am I really ok? 3 minutes ago I fell into a hatch- I don't know, maybe??.. Definitely NOT IMPRESSED with the manager's skills and empathy.
- Nice view. - Cozy Interior, spacious room. - Drinking water in a huge cooler bottle. - AC and ceiling fan work flawlessly. - Mattress and pillows were not as bad as we thought they would be. Takes some time to get used to. - Fully set up kitchen- fridge, stove, utensils, plates... Ended up never using any of that because we were always eating out. It comes with a price- the fridge is kinda loud when it starts its work cycle.

United States of AmericaWe stayed in a studio (amazing view), but below it was a big "hang out spot" for local teens who (?) who were often loud, smoking, etc. Not really in Casa Isabel's control, and the hotel manager did warn us!
Love, love, loved this place! The location is perfect - right in the "old town" (Zona Romantica), but secluded, as it's up a hill. Staff were amazing, room was spacious, clean and had a lovely view and the happy hour 4-6 at the bar upstairs was well enjoyed. The simple free continental breakfast was a nice surprise as well.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is perched on quite a steep poorly paved hill and there is a 12 story condominium being built which was directly opposite our balcony. I wouldn't recommend the hotel because of this. The restaurant is lovely but only opens at 4 pm.
The apartment we were in was homey and nicely furnished. With the exception of the construction site there is also a beautiful view of the bay. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is nicely maintained.
