Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe road has some traffic noise and there are some neighbor dogs, but they provide ear plugs and at night it was quite quiet. Pool could be a bit warmer, I don't think it was heated at all which was too chilly for me to get right into even if its hot outside.
A lovely higher-end hotel in central Espita. Small boutique at the check in area and the garden is VERY gorgeous and a great spot to spend the afternoon. Loved all the hammocks and the patio in front of the room to chill in the shade. The onsite restaurant is good as well and the drinks were great too.

What a beautiful boutique hotel we found in Espita, Yucatán. This gem of a place is designed by a French architect, Laura Lecué, who created her project that shows such refinement, elegance and authenticity. The restaurant features delicious Yucatán cuisine made with seasonal, local ingredients masterfully prepared by Chef Jorge Ildefonso. Truly one of our best meals in the last few years. The staff is extremely kind. Thank you!

FranceThe location overall is great (1 hour to a few things to see) but not much going on in the immediate village.
The food is amazing. We really recommend the restaurant. Very peaceful location, perfect for recharging batteries!

United States of AmericaBeautiful small boutique hotel in a traditional Mexican town. The staff (both at the hotel and restaurant), the rooms, the overall ambience, the pool, the details in every corner of the property, and the restaurant serving delicious dishes, were all just perfect.

United KingdomShower was a little cold for us and we woke up early due to cockerels (but this will happen in the countryside!)
Gorgeous hotel, really stylish and comfortable rooms, the food was amazing. They were great at communication via WhatsApp. We ordered our dinner in advance, and they were really understanding when I wasn't feeling well and had to cancel part of the order (nothing to do with the food!) We were just here for an overnight stay but Espita seemed like a cute little town.

GermanyI was waiting for my delayed luggage from the airport. They did not offer any help at all. Even after telling them that someone from the airport might call and that it is really important that they tell me if they do so....they did not tell me. I spent over an hour on the telephone only to find out someone from the airport already called at the hotel (and nobody told me) Besides that the staff seems to only be friendly if you give them tips that are high enough.... beware once we got a really mad look because we gave one of the waiters/the cook too little of a tipp (we only gave a little because we wanted to give a big tip at the check out....which we then did not) It was the most expensive and at the same time the hotel with the worst service we stayed at on our 2 week trip through Yucatan.
The hotel itself is really beautiful and the food is excellent.
