Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was a big glitch on our travel partners' return trip to the airport. A couple days prior, they modified the pickup time and the manager told us that he would pass it on to the transport company.. He didn't. The van never came and our friends were left standing on the street at 7:15 a.m. No manager or office person was present at the inn but fortunately the night security man flagged down a cab off a nearby street. That was both late and expensive.
We loved our large and sunny room, and the gardens are a real bonus. The friendly gardener does a super job! The breakfasts were excellent, as were the ladies who worked at the breakfast. We enjoyed long lingering breakfasts with garden views every day.

United States of AmericaThe coffee was quite bad, which is unfortunate asChiapas produces some of the best cacao in Mexico.
This is a charming, small boutique hotel outside of the city center in a beautiful barrio called El Cerillos. Our room was very large with an iron balcony large enough for table and chairs, and it had a sitting area and gas fireplace. The courtyard has lots of greenery and a fountain and goldfish pond. Breakfast is included; guests order from a fairly extensive menu. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from town on quiet streets of houses with beautiful ironwork. The hotel is close to Barrio Guadalupe which is home to an interesting church, and is on a hill above the town. Don’t miss dinner and sunset at El Charcuterie. If you like craft beer, stop at the Jules microbrewery. San Cristobal is one of the most beautiful small towns we have seen in Mexico.

United States of AmericaSee above it would be great if there were other restaurant services
Everyone and everything to do with this hotel exceeded expectations. They have an amazing breakfast from 8am-12pm but do note that there is no food or drink service afterwards. However there are countless options for both withon 5-10 minutes

MexicoSmall details in maintenance, but nothing substantial. This included a window in the bathroom not opening properly, the faucet in the tub leaking a little, and a power outlet not working. Nothing that affects the overall experience.
The place is beautiful. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Rooms are spacious and with all the necessary amenities. The included breakfast is delicious.

CanadaRoom was dark hard to see Location of room wasn’t very private a bit awkward I was hoping to have a more cozy spot to enjoy the garden
The breakfast was good - limited but tasty , coffee was a bit weak but these things happen the breakfast room is very peaceful . All the staff were helpful & unobtrusive. The gardens are beautiful & the overall feeling of this hotel is calm. My small room near the front wasn’t exactly as luxurious as the photos might imply . But it was very comfortable if a bit dark . I suspect the more pricey rooms are nicer . Quiet location but easily walkable .

United Kingdom‘Didn’t like’ is too harsh a term, but for such a special place, I think the room would benefit from a few odd jobs eg, tightening bathroom fittings and door handles etc.
Beautiful gardens, delightful rooms and exceptional staff.

United States of AmericaWe wish real Chiapan coffee was available to brew in room in an old fashioned coffee maker.
We had the largest room. It was beautiful with a lovely kiva fireplace, copper slipper tub, beautiful rattan king bed and all the little touches. A fire was set every evening with extra firewood also to watch it from bed. Very quiet. Angel cheerfully set up a driver for us, called taxis, helped us with decisions, heated up my leftovers at night and made us laugh. All the staff were a delight. Breakfast was very nice.

United States of AmericaThere are no Restaurants nearby, so you always have to go into town for Dinner (~30 min walk). And on the last day they forgot to give us a morning call, so we almost missed our 6am Shuttle ...
Cosy Boutique Hotel with a personal touch. The staff was helpful in fixing small deficits in the room (eg safe didn't lock, some light bulbs were flickering). The location was nice & clean.

MexicoThe chimney had a gas heather that was not working well. So the staff gave us an electric heater which was a good replacement (evening was a bit chill in November).
I booked a suite deluxe. The room was great and spacious with a large bathroom (bath and shower) and a chimney. Located in a small but nice garden. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast service was also very good. Very good value for money
