Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWay too expensive. A friend o mine went to Los Cabos the next week and stayed in a nice Air BnB near the marina for a nightly rate that was a quarter of this resort.
We only had one meal at the property. The evening we arrived we had dinner at the taco bar. We ordered two Pacifico beers, two tacos, a burrito, guacamole and chips and the bill was $100. That's why we only had one meal at the property.

United States of AmericaBeing hijacked for a sales promotion right after checking in to the hotel. Very inconsiderate, not to mention being inconvenienced. We paid 3k± for what was supposed to be a king oceanfront view. We could only see the ocean if we stepped out on the balcony and turned right. Way to overpriced for what we got. During our stay, the hotel ran out of washcloths and stopped providing free bottled water. When we inquired, we were told they had an influx of guest that had arrived ..... ? We were on day five with four left. There wasn't a cozy lounge for two to sit. Some of the lamps didn't work, and the draw curtains for privacy were broken. Don't expect the refrigerator to get icy cold. It never did. Check your bill when eating at the hotel restaurants. Some waiters will pull a fast one to keep your change, so watch out for that. Car rental service at the hotel was a disappointment. We were a family of seven, five adults and two kids, so we needed a van. Even though we scheduled it a couple day in advance, they couldn't produce one. They gave us two cars, which was not at all what we were expecting, and yes, we still paid, there was no courtesy for their mistake. This happened on two separate occasions. If you're planning to use the gym, make sure your room key has been activated. There is nothing worse than being prepared to work out, and you can't access the gym. There were lots of people walking away. So make sure to have them activate your room key card before getting whisked away. If we don't leave feedback, how else can one improve. In general, it's not as bad as it sounds. Enjoy your stay!
Staff was friendly. King size bed was so very comfortable. The room was cleaned daily. Housekeeping is honest, I say this because I left the safe open with lots of cash, and they never touched it. Our daughters rooms in another building were updated, a walk-in shower, large closet, and a court yard view. This place was amazing. Even with all the hiccups. It was a great place to stay.

United States of AmericaThe towel shortage.
We had a fantastic family vacation! it was so beautiful and all of the staff were so helpful and friendly..except for the first 2 days when we needed towels by the pool. They acted like we just needed to accept that there weren’t any. it was the only really frustrating thing about our trip. People need to be warned that they need to ask for towels from the front desk if they arrive in the afternoon and keep them for the next morning. Then you can exchange them as needed when they show up. Sorry to belabor the only negative thing! The place, housekeeping, valet staff, front desk, restaurants were exceptional! The views, beach and so many whales and stingrays were amazing!! Also, getting family pictures was awesome!!

United KingdomThe dinner buffet was not good at all. The service was very slow. Couldn’t check in on time as the room wasn’t ready so had to wait for another hour. We had an issue with our room’s ceiling fan. It was very squeaky and noisy. We could not find the switch to turn it off so couldn’t sleep at all! The next day I explained this to the receptionist but was told that the manager is in the briefing so we left it but no one followed it up, no apology or anything. Felt like no one cares about customer support/service. We paid for an ocean view room but it was really partial ocean view and partially sand view, basically nothing was there that looked nice. It was sandy like a construction site that is about to start.
Beautiful surroundings, decent size & clean room. Lovely swimming pools including suitable ones for kids. Nice atmosphere. Excellent breakfast buffet.

GermanyWhat you have to know is, that 2/3 of the property are apartments for time-share occupants mostly from the US, Canada and Mexico, many of them start drinking cocktails at 9am at the pool, as they seem to have a flat rate. The size of the property and the type of other guests were not really to our liking, as we prefer smaller boutique hotels. But that is up to individual taste I guess. The hospitality desk girl seemed a bit lost when asking for boat options, but otherwise we were good taken care of. Los Cabos is a very touristy, busy place with pushy vendors, bars and lots of construction. San Jose is the far better option for a lovely walk through town (art walk on Thursdays!)
The hotel is a large complex in Hacienda style with colourful houses in earth colours. In front of the hotel is a large, wide (I believe) private beach where you can take a stroll and watch waves breaking. The entire property was really well maintained. As we had booked through Booking.com we were given a non-refurbished, somewhat dark room. After we complained, we were given a new room with more modern decor in other building. There are 3 restaurants (steak, Asian fusion, main restaurant with theme-dinners) plus a nice sushi/tostada place at the beach and a sports bar for bar food. I have to mention that they entire staff was extremely friendly and you can watch whales from the beach jumping which is amazing.
