Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe locks on the doors
Q the old fashioned atmosphere, the high ceilings, the architecture,..the restaurant on the premises being open all day..the perfect location..the very helpful staff..I wish I could have stayed longer. The hotel ,like the area around is a reminder of better times, sadly the centre has been deserted by the wealthier residents who ve to suburbs but retains its grandeur

NetherlandsI asked for a room that was quiet but also had a nice view, My room (212) was quiet indeed, wat you can call a miracle in the very heart of CDMX, but it didn't have any view, except on a sort of inner court. You cannot expect to have everything!
I always go to hotel Isabel when I am in CDMX. In the lobby there is a painting of Reina Isabel la Católica and I always stay there a few moments in silence. She is the mother of Juana la Loca (Joan the Mad), a queen about whom I read many a book/ The hotel has a real historic atmosphere, that I like very much. Staff is friendly, breakfast is OK. Location is perfect on walking distance from the Zocalo.

CanadaDidn't need a second bed. Was travelling solo.
The room was large. I had an extra bed in my room for some reason, but it wasn't a problem. It's a classic downtown Mexico City hotel. Showers had hot water. All good. The bar downstairs had friendly patrons and good tacos.

GreeceThe only real problem is that the internet in our room was quite slow at times. Also on Friday and Saturday, there was noise/music coming from outside but I would assume this is the case in many places around the city center. They also did not provide conditioner but this is obviously not a big deal. Overall, great stay
The hotel is exactly how it is advertised. Beautiful, colorful building, with a restaurant and bar (which we did not try) in the facilities. Our triple room was spacious and with a lot of natural light. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nice and they provided soap and shampoo. They also gave us free water bottles every single day, which was very nice. The property was very clean and our room was cleaned every single day. The staff was friendly as well. Location is perfect, about a 10 minutes walk to the major attractions of the city center (which is such a better area to stay at than Roma/Condessa), many amazing restaurants and street food vendors and bakeries nearby and there were always people around the street/ubers available etc. They stored our stuff at a storage room that only staff has access to after check in. Overall, this was great value for money and I would stay there again. It is exactly what you expect from a hotel of this price range.

MexicoOnly thing .. becareful if your going out to club or party , they close the hotel down after a certain hour and when I came back my Uber had left and nobody would open the door. It made it super unsafe to wait there and even had to call another Uber until they decided to open the door , only reason I'm not staying here again in the future. I was thinking I had my hotel and turned out I stood outside all alone at 5am .
I liked the location for the hotel , is pretty close to center town and is a pretty nice short walk

Great location just a couple of blocks from the Zócalo, easy access to lots of other attractions using public transportation. Friendly staff and a very good restaurant with fair prices, a place locals go to.
