Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyI didn’t encounter any water cooler. To reduce plastic waste, I appreciate accommodations with an available water cooler to refill my water bottle.
Nice place, in walking distance to the beach and the town centre La Crucecita. Kinda and helpful staff! The room was clean, spacious and also the pool areas was nice to relax. It’s a good destination to explore nearby beaches or go to Pluma Hidalgo to sample local coffee

Breakfast was good but basic. I paid extra for the buffet. Location was great and the pool area is really nice. Evening desk girl was super nice and the manager was friendly and helpful. He also spoke good english which was helpful to me.

CanadaIt would be lovely if the rooms had a small fridge. Pool needs to be filtered more often when it’s been heavily used. We understand the high cost of electricity, so these are small inconveniences. Due to the popularity of the restaurant buffet with bus tours, we would suggest tables for hotel guests are reserved in the morning to ensure guests get their breakfast served in a timely manner.
Location - within walking distance of everything. Staff - really did their best to make us comfortable and taken care of. Cleanliness - every staff person was involved in cleaning all the nooks and crannies.

CanadaLike a lot of the local hotels Hotel Mexico Lindo did not have a coffee maker and a fridge in the rooms. We just went to the local store and got a cooler and ice from the local convenience store and we were set. The furniture around the pool could use some updating.
For a quaint family owned local hotel, Mexico Lindo was superb. Our room had comfortable, clean beds. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant offers good breakfast and lunches. After a day exploring it was a blessing to hop in the refreshing heated pool, and finally the hotel offered the perfect location to explore the area.

CanadaThe coffee needs improvement. It was weak and Mexico is known for their good coffee so it was disappointing not to have tasty cup of coffee in the morning.
We had breakfast included during our stay. The breakfast was good but not much selection or choice to change it up. We like the location. It is centrally located. We really liked the staff. They were very helpful and responsive. It was a very clean Hotel and the swimming pool was clean and well maintained. We also the many plants and palm trees that surrounded the Hotel. The staff paid attention to detailed and took wonderful care in all areas. The staff were very accommodating.

United KingdomWish there were more restaurants nearby.
The staff were so friendly. They gave good travel advice, helped book buses, call for taxis and provided restaurant recommendations. Everyone at the hotel was polite and civil and was never noisy at night. The staff cleaned the rooms daily. The aircon and shower worked well. The beds were comfy. The railings were very useful to dry off wet swimwear too! Playa Entrega was only 60 pesos away by taxi, great beach! Great snorkeling. Hotel is close to a beach and also a supermarket. Would visit again!

CanadaNot much, sure wifi is not the best but I had access most of the time I needed. Can be a bit noisy if guests are hanging out by the pool late. But I slept very well all nights.
Nice and helpful staff. Rooms are cleaned everyday , comfortable beds, AC … Breakfast is great and with many options . Only 10 minutes walk from either Santa Cruz , Chahué or downtown. I tried the spa / temazcal next door for a good relax time.

CanadaNo restaurants close by and theirs closes after lunch. Breakfast was cafeteria style which I dislike, but you can order something else. Seems to be popular with young families who go there just to stay in a hotel.
Clever design, super clean and cool, rooms are in towers which is unique. Very safe, high walls around. Central pool area suitable for children whose parents like to drink and relax. Well thought out amenities, lots of smiling staff. Helpful with directions.

Mexico Lindo was a lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel offers a charming restaurant from 8am-3pm. There is a breakfast buffet on the weekends that is very popular. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to a beautiful Blue Flag beach and a 15 minute walk to the Santa Cruz beach. It is a 25 minute walk into a charming small town called Le Crucecita. The hotel is very clean and well maintained.

CanadaWe had a room on the main floor facing the pool, so with lots of people using the pool it didn't feel very private.
Stayed just one night while passing through Huatulco on our way to another beach, but it was perfect for that. Pool, restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Room was really clean. Fish tacos from the stand across the street were excellent. Would stay here again when in Huatulco.
