My bed was a bit hard, but that’s nothing really!

Check in was extremely easy. The staff was very friendly. My room was spotless. I stayed in room 229. The grounds were well kept. Lots of water machines and the wifi was good, no problems. It doesn’t advertise that you can get it in your room, but I was able too. I had a really good stay there.

Not the hotels fault, but mosquitoes getting into the room and our door had a weird lock almost like a screwdriver... made me nervous anyone could get in.

The location of Posada Del Mar is exceptional. Right at the Playa Centro Beach of Isla Mujeres, you can’t go wrong. The manager Raul is very welcoming as he gave tips about the island. The front desk staff were very helpful. They also were very kind to keep our luggage even before we checked in . The hotel is very scenic and pleasing. The on-site restaurant Penguino serve great breakfast . All in all great bang for the buck and I will be back for sure.

Toilet was always slow (we never put paper down there), pool was never filtering, not enough lounge chairs.

Rooms need an uplift, everything is old and unpleasant. They stole our shoes on the beach infront of the hotel.

No microwave and no shelf in the shower. You had to ask for a washcloth.

We weren't able to get a king bed (even though requested at booking time) or an early check in or late check out - reception staff were not very accommodating in that aspect. We were in the old section and it needs a revamp. Ceiling fans had lots of dust on them.

Location was excellent - right across from the beach and within walking distance to the main strip and lots of shops and restaurants. Hotel gave us beach towels to use at the pool and beach and they were able to be exchanged for fresh ones (however we were required to put a deposit of $10 USD for each one, which we received back when we returned them). Restaurant, pool and pool bar were great, with prices comparable to those in the area. Air conditioning, shower pressure and toilet were all in good working condition. Golf cart rentals were nearby.

Had trouble getting warm water with the shower but it was fine. Just had to wait a few minutes for it to warm up.

We had cockroaches in our room. Multiple.

It is dirty. They are trying to keep the room clean but the corridors and balconies are so dirty with the leaves, stains and birds poo. The room is very small with no chair. The bathroom is old. All in all the property should be renovated. Compering the standard to the price I was very disappointed.

The location of the hotel is great. Just in the center of everything, few steps from beach. But that is the only positive things about this hotel.

The staff was not particularly kind or welcoming. Straight-faced and were not accommodating at all when asked for a late check out (property was not full).

Mold in bathroom and damp room, was okay with airco on though. It is to be expected for Isla Mujeres I think. Two plastic chairs on the balcony and nowhere to hang your clothes outside to dry

Location was amazing, value for money good for Isla mujeres. Hot shower. We liked the restaurant and live music. Comfortable beds. Hotel is being renovated, lobby already very pretty.

The water went all over the floor while showering unless you kept the pressure very low. We had to beg for clean towels. Never got them until almost dinner time. I actually took a shower with no towel because we had a dinner reservation. When we asked they said they would be there in a few minutes and that didn’t happen. The bed was very hard. We also had dirty water tossed on our heads from the maid while she was cleaning a room. She threw it over the 3rd floor balcony and never looked below.
