Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was listed with a private bathroom but what wasn't made clear was that the bathroom was outside the room. You walk a couple of steps to it and although it felt private as no one else uses that area, it was not ideal.
The hotel is very relaxing with a pool that is great to dip in after a hot day. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and made us a packed breakfast to take away with us on a morning where we had to set off early for a tour.

From the outside it does not look like much but don’t let that fool you - once you walk through the door you are truly in an oasis! 6 room boutique hotel with a small swimming pool. Around 15 minutes walking to the main square. The room was spacious, neat and clean with a lovely balcony. We really enjoyed our stay! Breakfast was fruit, yoghurt, granola plus toast - probably less then we have received elsewhere in Mexico but it was sufficient

United KingdomIt would have been great to have a mosquito net over the bed and the pillows were very lumpy and could do with replacing! Re breakfast- we were unsure if something else was coming due to the images but it was just granola and toast and no eggs/cooked breakfast as suggested by the images (nothing else was served after waiting around 15 mins).
The location was great and staff were very helpful and lovely. Great pool and loved the hammock on the terrace. Breakfast was yummy.

United KingdomThe shower did not have hot water, but Jesus helped us within 20 minutes so the issue was resolved.
Great location and easy to find. Room had plenty of space. Jesus gave us recommendations of local restaurants and things to see upon arrival, and gave us a map with all the information. He was incredibly helpful and friendly! Breakfast was toast with granola and fruit, very tasty and fresh. Due to sudden sickness, we had to stay an extra night. Jesus helped accommodate us last minute and he made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and safe. Very thankful to have had him!

FranceA bit noisy at night and I wish the curtains were a bit better (they was a lot of light coming in in the morning).
Very beautiful place in the center of Valladolid. You can go anywhere you want by foot and the city is very safe. We could have our breakfast to take away so that's a plus as well.

CanadaFor the price, the included breakfast was not as good as I expected, compared to other hotels in Valladolid.
It’s near la calzada de Los frailes! And surrounded by beautiful trees and birds..

United States of AmericaLighting in the rooms could be improved. It’s on a main road, a bit far from center (and narrow sidewalks)

At first, the entrance door in the street can be creepy but when you enter in this hotel you can't imagine there is a such beautiful place in the town center. The breakfast was perfect

United KingdomThe only improvement would be if you could purchase drinks to have on the patio/around the pool (I might have missed this though!)
Everything about our stay here was fantastic. We received a very warm welcome at check in and some great local recommendation. The room was huge with a lovely bathroom and a relaxing patio. The pool area was tranquil and an ideal place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was simple but delicious.

United KingdomNothing!
What a great place, looks a bit non descript from the front but amazing colonial building with fantastic pool area. Jésus was really helpful on our arrival with tips & recommendations....we were also a bit early as we weren't aware of the hour time difference between Valladolid & QR but this was no problem! Breakfast was also really good & set us up for the day & Valladolid itself is a great little city! We would definitely recommend 👍🏼

GermanyThe pool was suuuuuper cold - colder than the cenotes ;) there were so many mosquitos, but that´s nothing Refugio could do anything against haha. Unfortunately the neighbourhood is very noisy - barking dogs all day and night long, fireworks and several BBQ parties (?) with loooud music.
The location ist great - you can reach the small city by feet, but you can also go for a run in the woods. The staff - especially Jesus - is super nice and we felt very welcomed, got recommandations etc. Thank you!

GermanyNot very central, but it only takes 10-15 min to walk to the bus station and city center and it is very safe to walk at any time of the day and night.
The place is an oasis in the city with palm trees, a pool and very spacious and stylish rooms with balconies and hammocks. It’s so relaxing to be there! Jesus was very helpful and gave us lots of great tips to get around and see many beautiful places in and around Valladolid.
