Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Beautiful Colonial house with lovely garden. The breakfast served in the garden was great, although it wasn't really explained how it works - you seem to be offered juice, coffee, pan dulces and fruit salad, but also given a menu from which you seem able to order anything from at no extra charge. The room was beautiful with antique furniture and a well lit, large bathroom. Location couldn't be better - on the Calle de los friars. Finally, I had an issue with an ADO bus booking and the lady on reception was so helpful as I tried to sort it out.

United States of AmericaNothing to be improved - outstanding service at a beautiful accommodation.
I have so many positive things to say about this wonderful hotel and its staff, where to begin!? I was traveling with my husband, toddler, and mother, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They acquired a crib for my toddler so we didnt have to fly with one, and helped my mother get an appointment for emergency dental work with a local provider (Maria Mirian at the front desk was a true angel!). I was worried the rooms would be small for us and our daughter together, but we felt completely comfortable within the space we had. The property is SO charming, the staff SO kind and understanding, the location couldn't be better - this is one of the best boutique hotels we've ever stayed at, and we've travelled widely!

United States of AmericaCheckout needs to be more efficient. They asked me to sign another receipt and I thought they were asking me to pay again, even though I had paid on check-in. This is apparently just part of their protocol.
This hotel is lovely and right on the the exclusive Calzada de Los Frailes. Lots of attention to detail. The room is clean and comfortable with an amazing bath and shower. The staff is kind and helpful. The courtyard and pool are really lovely! The breakfast is from their restaurant and is exceptional! When we were there no one spoke English but we were able to communicate well enough with translator apps. Allow yourself extra time for check out. For some reason that took about 15 minutes.

The location is on the most beautiful street and the parking is age behind the garden. The garden is so nice and the pool looked so nice. I’ll recommend this hotel anytime.

A little pricy perhaps but a great experience and a good launch pad for the drive the next morning to Chichen Itza. The breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful little place on most picturesque street in Valladolid. Staff extremely polite and helpful, prepared us a wonderful breakfast very early in the morning when we were heading to Chichen Itza. Road gets a little noisy but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Stunning gardens in the back

MexicoQuality of food at breakfast varied in quality and preparation. Needed more toilet paper in bathroom. People with mobility issues should stay on ground floor room since stairs are steep.
Bed linen good. The garden was beautiful. The breakfast was good, some days better than others. Alejandro was charming and interested in our opinion on breakfast. Desk reception excellent, especially Maria. The welcoming treat menu was great: enjoyed the espresso over ice-cream. The location was superb. Treats in the fridge were appreciated.
