Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe loved everything
Our room was clean and freshly renovated with amazing views. There was no ac in our room, but we did not find this to be an issue at all when we opened the windows and turned on the fan, even during summertime. Christa is an amazing host and really made us feel at home. Would highly recommend doing the nature drive and walks around the property.

United KingdomRoom doesn’t have aircon but that wasn’t an issue as we left the windows open to let the breeze run through.
Hotel was great, room modern and spotless, and everyone wonderfully helpful. The evening game drive was a real bonus - amazing views, lovely sunset plus a few animals also.

Belgiumdrinks were not really cold, you should ask for some ice cubes. We missed the Aardvark during our stay.... But we can't blame Christa for this, that's wildlife, isn't it .
Great guestfarm. Good cook, and above all, the warmth and friendliness of host Christa... So charming. Spacious rooms with view on a waterhole. Spotted quite some animals in the evening and early in the morning. And what a great pool. Perfect to cool down a bit on a hot day. the place is great, and Christa certainly raises it to the next level.

GermanyA couch or some easy chairs in the living room would make it more comfortable, also a small refrigerator to keep drinks cool would be nice. Do to the fact that power is only generated by photovoltaic panels, the units do not have A/C. The ceiling fans work well, but it can be rather hot in the summer months.
We rented a cottage with 2 bedrooms (very comfortable beds), the house was spacious, recently renovated, had a table and chairs in the living room and a large bathroom with shower, hot water was supplied by solar heat. We also had a patio with chairs and a table. The breakfast was very good , consisted of cold cuts, cheese, jam, honey and any form of eggs. Dinner was 3 courses and delicious, lunch was also tasty, the cook was excellent. We also too advantage of the wildlife drive and Sundowner, the manager of the guest farm drove us 3 1/2 hours around the huge property adjoining the grounds where the accommodations were located. We saw many different kinds of antelope and different species of birds, the setting sun provided us with a spectacle in orange and red, well recommended. The large outdoor pool was appreciated on hot days.

The people on the farm are super friendly and helpful and the guestfarm itself is absolute premium. We did the drive and were super impressed about how many animals we saw in there natuaral habitat. (also the informations shared on the trip and the sundwoner were amazing). Recommendation for the Location and the Drive!

Had a wonderful stay at Otjohotozu, only wished we had booked 2 nights. Stunning location, beautifully appointed chalet rooms with private patio overlooking a waterhole where game could be viewed. Great pool. Great food. Friendly enthusiastic and attentive host and staff. Game drives available. One of our best stays, thoroughly recommended.

Christa and Johan are very nice and caring hosts. They put a lot of effort into the guesthouse and you can tell by the lovely place they have made. The sundowner tour with Johan was fantastic, we saw lots of animals, including around 15 giraffes. The food cooked by Michael was always delicious. There is a very personal feeling at the guestfarm that lets you feel welcome and home. We would book again anytime.

FinlandVery quiet place and a great halfway stop to Etosha or Swakopmund. Food was tremendous and the service was next level. In the Guestfarm you can book affordable game drive or sundown drive at arrival and I would say it was even better than in Etosha. In the drive you will go to very unique locations were you can enjoy a drink. Place had their own waterhole In front of the room and you can basically have almost the same experience as in Etosha. Staff grows their own herbs and Juhan and Christa made the accomodation very personal in a wonderful way. Highly recommended.

United KingdomVery friendly and helpful staff. Nice accommodation with small swimming pool to cool off. The game drive is worth doing (bring binoculars for better views of the wildlife) while you’re here with sundowner drinks to finish. Food was nice and cooked fresh both breakfast and dinner. After dinner there’s a fire pit where you can buy a drink and sit around chatting to the host and get to know other guests. The stars at night are amazing due to minimal light pollution from other towns etc. All in all a great find as we booked at the last minute while travelling from Swakopmund to Etosha national park.

AustraliaStaying at this guest farm was a highlight of our visit to Namibia… we saw many animals come to drink at the waterhole, just off our bedroom veranda… the chef was exceptional (such delicious food and my gf needs beautifully taken care of)… the walk along the dry riverbed spotting animal tracks was memorable … and best of all was its location in Erongo Nature Conservancy which led to a wonderful morning visiting the San Living Museum.

GermanyChrista (the managerin) is a lovely person who tries to make the best stay for everyone. She provides a lot of tips and information on what to do around the area. We really enjoyed the Sundowner Drive with Johann. He explained a lot about the area and answered all our questions. Dinner and breakfast were also really good. Overall a really great and relaxing stay. It is a cute little oasis in the Erongo moun tains.
