Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceOne of the two fans in the room was making a lot of noise so it was hard to sleep. And if you turn it off it is unable to sleep due to the warm temperature. Probably the ac room deserves the extra money.
Very convenient location. Between the two bus stations. Nice big area to hang out. Clean rooms and clean common space.

NicaraguaOnly that the water supply seemed to stop working late at night. Not sure if it's a city wide problem, though. Other than that, no complaints
The location was definitely a plus. It's very close to the bus stations and there's plenty of other businesses around in case you need anything. The bed was huge and comfortable, the room was small but good enough for a married couple with no kids

United States of AmericaHard to find since the words on the sign were worn away on one side. Very hot. Get room with AC if there in August.
Beautiful colonial building. Simple, clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Good location, not far from the central park area, artisan market, and bus station.

Good location very close to the market, the old market, Parque Central and other interesting points of Masaya. Good breakfast starting at 7am. Nice room with great ac and ceiling fan. Good wifi. Can arrange volcano twilight tours for $20, although I went separately. Easy access to chicken buses, by the market, to continue travels.

Quiet and with secure space to store bicycles. Also, the hotel booked a taxi to take us to Masaya volcano.

United KingdomWe had 2 double beds in our room as that is what was left, and they were big beds. It was still spacious with both of them, and there was a desk in there to put your things on. The staff were so lovely! Always smiling and were okay with us paying later as we had no cash. They also gave us recommendations for the area. The kitchen had utensils and things you needed, just it was very small so could have been difficult if more people wanted to cook. The breakfast was lovely, and the coffee was too! They had an outside area too with hammocks which was nice to chill in. It’s not really a hostel to socialise in as we didn’t see many others at all as they were in their room or out. Maybe they didn’t know about the garden area. We were only here for a one night stopover, but I really recommend this place.

NicaraguaIt’s too bad that there was not more windows for airflow because they were just on one side of the rooms but other than that everything was perfect
really central available parking very clean. Our room was very hot due to the climate but we were provided with an extra fan. The staff was super friendly and the stay included breakfast. This is a great budget spot to stay in Masaya very close to the central market, and a quick walk away from the central park also a half hour walking distance from the artisan district that makes hammocks

Netherlands-
We stayed in Masaya because there are is a lot of good food around. The famous Baho Vilma where your can eat the best Baho in Nicaragua. Also close to Asado Masayina and several Cheviche places around makes it a good stop and less tourist then Granada. We liked the hostel, its very clean, the staff is very welcoming and they have a nice jardin to chill in the hammock. They have rooms with fan or aircondition and a security at night so it feels safe.
