Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWhat a lovely little house! It was cosy, warm, well-equipped and had everything we needed for a long weekend. There are frequent buses into the city center and a supermarket just around the corner, but it's also possible to walk by the waterfront or through the lovely old neighbourhood. The owners are helpful and sent us useful information ahead of our arrival. Would definitely stay again!

United KingdomEven if I was going to be really picky, I can not think of a single thing we didn't like. The house was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed.
We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The house is absolutely delightful. It is so cosy and charming and we loved the history of it. We visited Bergen in the winter and so staying in such a cute and cosy house really added to our experience, as the house was part of our holiday as well rather than just being somewhere to sleep. We loved spending our days out sightseeing and then coming back to the house, warming up and getting cosy in the evenings. I could only dream of living somewhere as lovely as this! The house is small but it doesn't feel it because the space is so well thought out - it has everything you could possibly need without ever feeling cramped or cluttered. The house was really warm, the kitchen had loads of equipment and utensils and a good selection of tea/coffee and toiletries were provided. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was really hot and powerful. The TV has loads of channels! The hosts also provided us with lots of information about how to find the house, how to get in and other useful information like WiFi, where to empty the bins, how to get to the airport. They also offered us early check in without us even asking - we didn't arrive into Bergen early enough to use it, but it was a lovely gesture. I absolutely loved Bergen and can't wait to return, and will definitely stay here again when I do. I've stayed in a lot of different apartments and hotels through booking.com and this has absolutely been my favourite stay by far.

United KingdomFull of character, lovely comfy bedroom and bed.
Good location, walkable to Bryggen but bus stop just outside if you need it. Handy to have Joker just around the corner. The house itself was amazing, comfortable, spacious, spotless clean and, indeed, very charming. Staying there was one of the best things out of our entire trip to Norway.

AustraliaSome night blinds would make the downstairs living area easier to sleep in.
This heritage cottage is utterly charming and beautifully adapted for short stays. The kitchen and upstairs bedroom are well-equipped, and the sofa bed downstairs is very comfortable. The heating is very effective. The location is perfect - a short walk from central Bergen but also away from the city. We loved waterfront cafe Bod24 across the road and walking into the city along different backstreets.

AustraliaThe front door can be tricky … if the lock fails keep persisting and lift the handle !! The staircase requires you to be nimble !!
Beautiful old house circa 1770 in a lovely part of Bergen…. Except when raining. (always)… right on bus stop !! Walkable to centre and easy bus Would really recommend to get out of hustle and bustle, supermarket 30m away, and fully equipped kitchen …. Very handy in Norway to be able to eat in !! Owners very approachable and helpful. One bus train ticket 40k to airport from near front door ! 6 aud 4 euro !!

United KingdomThere was quite loud music coming from a neighbouring house. Something to be aware of if you stay over a weekend.
The house is lovely and beautifully decorated. It's great to be able to live (even only for a few days) in a typical old Bergen house. You can almost feel its history! The residential area where it is located is only a few minutes away by bus from the city centre. There are lots of buses that run frequently. The grocery shop next door was also very convenient. Inside the house there is all you need and it felt safe also for our 4 year old. It felt very cosy to come back here after exploring Bergen.

United KingdomSuch a shame a large ugly building was ever allowed to be built in front of this historic house, but I suppose that keeps the house at a very reasonable price for Bergen.
Our last stop after 2 months travelling. The hosts here have thought of everything their guests might possibly need and it was by far the best equipped place we have stayed in. Bed and sofa bed were both comfortable. There was a warning that the hot water tank capacity was small but 3 of us staying there had no problems with hot water supply. I felt the house had a very welcoming atmosphere and was great value.

United KingdomNothing to dislike.☺️
The privilege of being able to stay in a typical Bergen house dating from 1779. I was so glad I found it. The house was close to Bergen centre and there was a bus stop practically right outside. Accommodation was comfortable and warm. Well equipped kitchen. Joker local shop round the corner. We did not meet Praewa and Kim but they responded quickly to any questions and were incredibly helpful.
