Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was kind of small with little storage for your suitcase and clothes, but not a deal breaker by any means. I wish I would have had a better view as well.
Great location right off the harbour and easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the train. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the room was clean and perfect for what I needed as a solo traveler. It might have been a bit tight for two people with their things. The bed was comfy. Really happy about the accommodations!

The reception was closed when we arrived in the evening. We had to look around where we could check in until a staff found us confused and showed us that the reception moved to the bar next door during the opening hours of the bar! It would be kind to hang a sign somewhere at the entrance.
Location was perfect for us! Quiet at night even though there are many restaurants and pubs near the hotel. The room was clean and spacious enough for us to open our baggage on the floor.

The room was much smaller than I anticipated. I had to crawl over the bed to look out of the window or close the shade. Bed was tiny, and I’m not a big person! I even fell out of the bed in the middle of the night, reaching for my water.
Breakfast was delicious. Lobby was a cozy place to read after I checked out. I had two hours until I needed to leave and since the weather was bad, I chose to stay there.

Whilst the staff were ok, some were not overly friendly. Our room safe was not usable because it was locked in the open position and the door could not be shut. We asked twice to get this fixed, but gave up in the end. Whilst the breakfast was reasonable the hot food was always cold or at best like warm. Breakfast finished at 9:30 during the week, and when on one morning we came down at 9:20, we felt as though we had been told off for asking if we could have some fresh scrambled eggs because they had run out. I appreciate we had arrived towards the end of breakfast being served, but whilst one member of staff happily went off and cooked some eggs for us, the lady who appeared to be in charge was brusque to say the least. The room we stayed in had insufficient storage space for two people, with nowhere to put suitcases other than the floor. Despite the above concerns we had a reasonable stay. The beds were comfy, the hotel was clean, and some of the staff were very friendly.

In bathroom there wasn't towel for legs. You have pay extra!
Nice, central hotel. Clean room, daily cleaning and kind persons. Good choise, as the hotel is close to the fish market, port, bus stop and the lift to the hill with view to the hole city. The breakfast buffet has many choises! I will come back.

A little attention to detail like have floor towels for the shower and a box of tissues in the room. Our room was a little cold on the first night and I was surprised to nor have extra duvets or blankets. On the second night Christina kindly raised the heating in the room for me so it was nice and toasty.

Reception ladies a little uptight. We had to extend our stay and the room prices varied a lot being much more expensive than for the days we had pre-booked but we stayed anyway in order to not change hotels.

Excellent hotel in the beautiful city centre of Bergen. My single room was pretty small but alright and the breakfast buffet was varied and good. Very good value for money and a hotel I'll look for again when going to Bergen.
