Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgThe breakfast. We have understood that we didn't have much choice because the kitchen was closed and we went along with that. So we have received packed sandwiches (where the cucumber was not sliced that morning), coffee, yoghurts, some fruits and orange, and apple juice. We had to ask for water, but it was all OK. But, there were 2 couples that got freshly made omelette and avocado, and we understood that also the morning before they had the same thing. The yong boy serving us was in the kitchen and door closed, so we cohndt really ask him anymore how come, .. it was a bit dissaponting. A nice place like that should either offer the same breakfast for everybody or if they decide to propose something more to do it for everyone. I mean, they only have 8 rooms.. it cannot be a big trouble.
The location! You are in the middle of the most pitoresque nowhere! It's beautiful. For dinner we decided to go back to Geirenger and eat there, was everything very well. Nice place!

PolandBreakfast needs improvement or just not declare that there is a breakfast.
The surrounding territory is like another planet. Cosmic views. Incredible colors of the lake and mountains with glacier. And with that very good match of room interior with nature around - I got a real aesthetic pleasure. So cold outside, but room had carpet and warm floor - perfect.

AustraliaThe shower seal had given way and leaked a little. Nothing an extra mat couldn’t soak up. Would be easy to fix - staff knew about the problem so I assume it’s fixed now
Just 25 mins from crowded, touristy Geiranger along windy switchbacks climbing the mountain. this place is a hidden jewel. We felt so lucky to have found it. We had read reviews to get a room with lake view which was an excellent tip. The rooms are standard size with windows looking at to the lake that feels close enough to touch. It is so peaceful and pretty. The staff were young and unbelievably kind and helpful. Pleasure to deal with. Not a problem for us but no elevator so carry your bags upstairs yourself although I’m sure the staff would help if you needed it. There is NO wireless or cellphone service - they tell you this when you book and again loser to the time so it won’t be a surprise. This is a PLUS. You can get signal a few minutes in either direction by car but do yourself a favour - enjoy the quiet tranquility. Breakfast was nice. We used ours as a packed lunch - 2 rolls (my vegetarian was delicious), yogurts with granola, donuts, fruit juice and fruit into a brown bag. Set. The hotel is at the base of the road to Disnibba viewing platform.

Amazing location next to a beautiful lake. The place feels like it’s part of a fairy tale. The room was spacious with a lake view and we loved it. Maybe the hotel is a little old but it doesn’t matter. The staff is very nice and polite. We brought our own food for dinner and the receptionist suggested us to use the dining area. Yes, there is no wifi and no cell phone signal but who cares! This is an opportunity to enjoy the great natural surroundings with peaceful and quiet time.

SwedenThe breakfast was large enough, but very rich in terms of carbs and sugar, I personally prefer more fruit and eggies in the morning. We should have realised, but not having an open restaurant is a but of a bummer, maybe a shared kitchen or lounge area would improve a lot, hanging out in the evening in the room (tv was not working also) felt a bit like a dread without a hot meal, but we brought books. There were loads of tourist vans coming by to visit the gift shop and view, and get lunch at the hotel, a bit weird.
The location is beautiful if you enjoy the barren Fjords, I would recommend to bring some watertight boots and rain friendly clothing and carefully hike around the area. The room was spacious and we had a fantastic lake view. We drove to Geiranger twice, did not realise what a trip this was, though it was fun to go 1000m down and up, all the tour vans made it a hassle sometimes.

United States of AmericaNo air conditioning, it was extremely hot in the room. The room opened up to the parking lot and in the morning the tourist buses were loud outside, and with the people and we couldn't open the window or no privacy. You had to drive at least 30min to get to any food options within the city.
