Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Toilets are too exposed, not enough privacy. Whilst the bed was relatively comfortable, the mattress moved quite a lot. The restaurant was a mixed bag for dinner. Netflix didn't work on the tv. Could have done with the AC being able to go lower than 18 as we happened to be there on quite a hot day.
Great location. Stylish decor. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of hot and cold options. Standard double was a good size. Great shower and big tv. Bar was also great. Lovely views out of the window (level 6b).

Friendly Staff - great breakfast by the way and the man preparing it as of 6:30 in the morning (and even before) was truly a great and shining person. He made our day! Clean rooms, good quality towels, comfortable bed.

Bit of water on the floor outside the shower. There could be more light in the room, specifically near the entrance by the mirror outside of the bathroom
Everyone was incredibly helpful and breakfast was particularly special, tons of fresh lovely options from eggs, breads, jams, fruits, meats and danishes.

Our room was adequate, but on the small side.
The staff was wonderful - very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and hung out in the "lobby" for a while, were offered a cup of coffee, and then stored our luggage while we explored the city until 3PM.

Nothing to dislike.
We loved everything about the hotel. Awesome staff, great ambience with lots of artwork decorating the walls. A very good buffet breakfast was included. Would recommend the Hotel Oleana and definitely stay there again.

Smoking area right by the entrance door. Beds might need some antislip feet so they don't come apart easy on the laminate floor.
Good location for cruise terminal , city centre, and tram stop ,that takes back to the airport in about 45 minutes. Liked the breakfast selection, was ample to have. Liked the quiet side of the hotel away from all the hassle bussle on the main square. Decoration was quite unique but nice.

The level of lighting in the room was poor especially over the area where the kettle was. In the evening there was a string and very unpleasant smell of fish in the lounge area.
The breakfast offered range of choices Great start to the day! The hotel reception were happy to hold our luggage for us that was very useful.

Room a bit on the small side but immaculate and so funky.
Beautiful designed small boutique hotel. So clean and comfortable with fabulous staff. Great breakfast choices, centrally located. Easy walk to everything.

The only and I mean the *only* thing I didn't like was the coffee at breakfast. That was truly awful.
I love this place! Everytime I need a hotel in Bergen I choose the Oleana.

We couldn't turn off the air in the room and we were with a baby Across the way from our bedroom there was another building so during the day you don't have much privacy.
Cute room, clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty of options.
