I had a waterfront view - the next morning the eye of the Aida Cruise vessel was literally looking into my window and the experience of water and sunrise.

Beautiful, stylish room with epic views. Exceptional breakfast and wonderful lounge area and spaces. This hotel makes me feel at rest and at peace with its beautiful atmosphere. The hotel is very welcoming - also if you have meetings and guests.

Room and bathroom size is great. Also, the room is very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Excellent location, about 500m from Alsesund Bus Terminal (where we took the bus to the airport) and the ferry wharf. Good breakfast buffet. Close to all shops and restaurant.

I booked 2 family rooms and both type of rooms were given to us - standard (twin + bunk bed) and upgraded (double + sofa bed). Although I'm sure it's more comfortable to sleeping on a real bed such as the bunk bed, but since we have big luggage, it's spacious to stay in the upgraded family room and just stay at a sofa bed. This should have been communicated to us earlier so there will be no comparison within the group.

This is walking distance from the bus station. However, if you have luggage, you'll be dragging it to 6-10 mins to the hotel. It might be hard if you come during winter. It is near the old town and a supermarket. The buffet breakfast with all those cheese are the best.

We payed extra for sea view, but huge cruise-ferries blocked the view completely, achoring 15 Meyers in front of our Windows, where the passengers looked straight into our room if we did not pull the curtains! Very anoying! Ålesund is not a Town for disabled persons, steps everywhere and tall pavements.

Access to reception from the road, with luggage, could have been easier. Only a minor issue. There were 4 or 5 steps which looked smart, and a narrow ramp on which to drag suitcases. But it wasn’t easy. The entrance could have easily been altered into a gradual slope. Having travelled on trains, boats, and busses to get there, I could do without extra hassle!

We found that some of the pillows in our room are bit smelly. I assume they were not properly cleaned or the cover were not replaced before we use them. The room facility is not as great as we expected for a 4-star rated hotel.

The staffs, especially the receptions, are very nice and friendly. The breakfast is delicious, and the service is great. The location is great.

Pulldown extra bed a bit small.

Clean room and a nice glass balcony to see the waterfront. Love the many sitting areas to view the nice waterfront. Breakfast spread ok. Need to pay for parking near hotel. Overall ok with our stay.
