Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Best hotel manager ever. Helped us so much with arriving late and with planning our hikes. Lovely quaint cabins and a rustic bar area with great to food and drinks.

No dining table inside Campsite flooded in places No shops nearby so you need to be organised and take plenty of supplies Nothing to do when it rains.
Close to Gjendesheim and white water rafting on sjoa Plenty of hot water Trampoline and fairy tale walks for kids Comfortable sofa.

I had to pay an unexpected additional 300 kr for 2 sets of linen and towels. The closest grocery store is 10 km away.
Great place if you come for hiking in Jotunheim national park. Very comfortable.

Not a good air circulation in the cabin.
We arrived very late 23:30 and we were allowed to open the gate and drive with our car to the cabin. The owner was friendly and very helpful. Our cabin was warm when we arrived. Pillows and blanket were very nice. Very quiet place, so we slept very peaceful. Beautiful view from our cabin too. We will come again!

We loved staying here. Super friendly staff and the most romantic restaurant in an earth Viking style with large roaring fire in the middle. 3 course meal was one of the best meals I have ever eaten! Great location for Besseggen Hike which is beautiful.

Shower coins are always a bit annyoing and the room was ok for 2 people but with 4 would have been a bit crowded. Also the cooler was very loud and i had to sleep next to it
Stay was great but we were happy to have a 4 person room with 2 people. The beds were nice and the facilities also good. And the hikes and the nature is about the best we had all trip long

Clean and cozy cabin, very nice host who also gave us tips for hikes, notified us of northern lights, so we could go outside and watch them!

There could have been more shelving, hooks or radiators in the bathroom to keep toiletries, towels and clothes on. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place to stay, with no issues and plenty to recommend it!
The location of the campsite was stunning, with beautiful views down to the river and footpaths from the cabin door. Our cabin was spacious, with comfortable beds, facilities for cooking, and a very clean bathroom. The staff at the campsite were extremely welcoming and helpful. A particular highlight was the turf-roofed pub on-site, serving delicious pizza and drinks around a roaring fire, which was just what we needed after a long drive during the day!

The lighting in the cabin's is a bit dim.
The location is beautiful with easy access to both Sjoa area for white water rafting and the Bessenger hiking area. Loved the pub/bar/restaurant setting in a 'buried' hill lodge. The staff was wonderful - friendly and helpful to the extreme.

we stayed in one of the wooden houses, it was comfortable even though the bathroom is a bit "old style". the position is amazing, 400 meters far from the road, into the forest. the staff was friendly and polite.

We couldn't complain about anything as the place is as they had advertised.
The location and atmosphere was great we especially enjoyed our dinner at the bar which is a traditional earth house. We felt like we were in Lord of the Rings with beautiful scenery and waterfalls and hikes it must also be great in winter for cross country skiing.
