Parking in and around this resort is quite an issue. Poor snow removal. Shades in bedroom insufficient given that a large street light is right in front of the window.

Very well equipped kitchen. Triple glazing makes proximity to railway line irrelevant.

The apartment was a good walk away from town but buses ran frequently. I think the pool could have been free for guests to use.

The apartment was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. We had an issue with the cooker and it was dealt with straight away. The bus stopped right outside the apartment block and ran all day between the ski fields which was great. The main hotel was a short walk away and had a restaurant and pool which was accessible for a charge.

Only negatives were the proximity to the Oslo - Bergan train line and our bedroom being maybe 25m from the track, it woke me up on the first night, but then I got used to it. The lack of international tv channels on the tv (only 5 Norwegian channels) so aimed at a home market. My own fault though as left the firestick at home I intended to take. Secondly the fire didn’t work and we asked at reception twice and still no one came to look at it.

Great view over the valley and just a short distance to the central area of Geilo. Got upgraded from a two bedroom to a six bedroom apartment which included a sauna. Had no need for the upstairs four bedrooms though as just the three of us.

The hot water ran out in the middle of showering which they told me happens when many people shower at the same time. It was very warm in the unit (as well as the hallway) but although each room has a thermostat, they are apparently centrally controlled.

The location is beautiful and quiet (at least in summer). The staff are friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet were both also good.

Exiting the garage was confusing. We had to get out of the vehicle and put the code in on the outside to open the door.

The apartment was great, it was new and very spacious. It had everything for 8 people. We traveled around Norway and this was the first place we found an apartment equipped for 8 (table, big pots etc)

The room was too warm to our taste, especially for sleeping. It seems that the whole building was heated to ~25 degrees so no matter what we did, we couldn't get the temperature much lower than that. The wifi was unstable, barely usable at times. It'd be nice if the hotel had a laundry machine / service (the options in Geilo are limited, especially if you don't have a car). It felt weird to rent bed sheets for an extra (small) fee. I wonder how many guests bring their own... I would have expected this to be part of the base price. We had an apartment facing the street and got a lot of loud noise from passing trains, heavy trucks and parking buses. This is not something that the hotel can do much about (perhaps just the buses) but for the future travelers, I'd recommend opting for the "scenic view" apartments.
