The room was located in the only ugly building in town aside from the vertshus. Spacious and well equipped but quite noisy ventilation.

Overall, the bed was too soft and pillows too soft. The mattress sagged in the middle and felt unsupported leaving after 5 days with a sore back and neck. Being on the second floor was good except we couldn't use the lift. Both of us are 67 and our knees are not what they use to be and after a 10-12 km hike, the stairs were the biggest challenge.

The breakfast was good, the coffee was just ok. The automatic machine is a little well automatic. A fresh brew or barrister would be better. The location was excellent and the surrounds. The lift was not available to guests and only to staff.

The bed was rather ‘bouncy’. The shower wet the whole bathroom floor. For us +60 year olds - having to carry cases upstairs.

Needs some attention to detail. Overflowing bins by the entrance to the annex where we were housed. No information on local activities. Staff not particularly friendly either. Dinner not great & overpriced. No incentive to eat there more than once as the limited menu didn’t change

The hotel is a beautifully maintained and modernized, likely one-time multi-generational family complex. It is part of hundreds of lovely historic buildings in a beautiful, fascinating town high in the hills of eastern Norway. The hotel and town are something special. My dinner and breakfast were really good.

The room was adequate if quite basic. One small annoyance was that there was no mirror in the room, only in the shower and it was not possible to use the hair dryer and look in a mirror at the same time. We were in Roros in mid June and still many attractions were not open or had restricted availability. One really had to arrive after the 26 June.

The location was very good as it was right in the centre of Roros. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was very good. The evening meal was good.

We ate in the restaurant here the night we stayed. Staff were really great and food was really damn excellent. We had the halibut and the reindeer and it was really amazing. They had a local cider too which I really liked. Rooms are pretty nice. Bathroom is quite pokey but it's a nice room made in an old building so a bit typical of Norway. They have some nice blankets from Roros Tweed too a local company making these really nice blankets.

The hotel was unique in a way that appealed to us. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable. It had a small balcony. Each room looked like it would be different. The lobby, bar and dining area were like stepping back into another time. The dining room was pricey but looked good. Unfortunately they were too busy to accommodate us. Breakfast was very good. Walking around the small town was charming. We will stay here again if we get a chance.

The beds were a bit soft.

Breakfast was good, though no waffles. We waited quite a while for coffee 2 days. Staff was very helpful, moving us to a different room when ours was too hot. She also helped us with laundry.

The interior felt a bit worn off though, and the double bed turned out to be twin beds moved together. Breakfast was ok’ish. There were problems with card payment during the check-out so we had to pay the faktura via bank transfer which is very inconvenient unless one has a Norwegian bank account.

Central location (which is not difficult in the small place like Røros), strong local vibe, friendly stuff. The place was well heated which was an absolute must in harsh winter conditions.
