I loved NextDoor Patan Hostel. I stayed here three separate times during my visit to Kathmandu. Its a lovely quiet hostel. The team are superb and so friendly. It feels like a home. The breakfast was always great and served with a smile and friendly chat. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The shower was always hot. The rooftop terrace was great. Cooking class to make momos was amazing. I would definitely stay again the next time I come to Kathmandu.

The staff warmly welcomes you from the moment you reach the front desk and treats you more like a friend than a guest. The atmosphere of the hostel is great to socialize, something which is great for solo travelers. The free breakfast is a cherry on top. The hostel also organizes free events for in-house guests like walking tours and lets you know about other events happening in the city as well using their weekly calendar. Great place to stay when in Nepal. Can't recommend them enough.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at in all my travels. The bed was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were really friendly and helpful, often organizing workshops, tours, movies, and games for the guests. My fav detail is the activity calendar that gets updated every week with exhibitions, shows and events happening in the area. The breakfast provided is always delicious and a great opportunity to make new friends. I love the communal kitchen and rooftop space. Raithaane, the attached restaurant is also a gem. The food is fantastic and opened my eyes to the diversity of Nepali cuisine. Ended up feeling very reluctant when it came time to leave but I know I will be back to stay at Nextdoor the next time I'm in Patan!

Amazing staff that makes the stay feel like home with great atmosphere. The bunks are very comfortable. The breakfast offers various option everyday. If you manage to leave this place you’ll definitely want to come back (anyway Emi will make you do).

The staff are amazing - so attentive, gave great advice and super friendly! The hostel is really clean, with 2 nice communal areas, great Wi-Fi, hot water and drinking water as well as a choice of breakfast. The hostel also have scheduled activities for guests, so I did the free walking tour around the hidden parts of Patan which was great.

I had an amazing stay here. The place feels more like a home than a big commercial hostel. Its a good and calm base for exploring Kathmandu and its surroundings. The staff is super helpful, the breakfast was great, there are plenty of activities and unique walking tours, and the beds and blankets are the most comfortable i have had in a few months of travelling 😉. Kathmandu is not an easy city with a maze of noisy and crowded street. Next-door hotel is located within a quiet neighbourhood and acts like an oasis in the desert.This positive impression is reinforced thanks to the services offered by Tisa and his staff always smiling and helpful. There is really nothing to complain about.

The personel is very friendly, funny and helpful. The whole hostel is nice and clean and my room had everything I needed. The location was really great for my needs and also close to everything that one might want to do. Even though I have not had the opportunity (as I was working) I do appreciate the free trips they organise. If ever coming back to Kathmandu, there is no other place I would stay.

If I had to say one thing dislike…. The walking tour planed end up at Patan Durbar square. I was the only guest to join so didn’t want to explore alone and I didn’t know how to walk back to the hostel from Durbar square so I didn’t visit there… If the hostel would tell me more informations before the tour started then I could download a offline map

The best hostel in Kathmandu!! The whole team is amazing I could feel they’re very passionate with their job and always taken care of everyone. The breakfast was great! I had a very pleasant stay here!

THE hostel in Kathmandu! Nothing compares. The service, the staff, the comfy beds and privacy curtains the affordable meals, the quiet location. I'm coming back to this one! This is what a hostel should be like! If you want to socialize, cool, plenty of space for that, of you don't feel like it, privacy is there too. Everything is perfect. The staff The situation in Patan in a quiet and authentic residenttiel area. The dormbed are so confortable! Clean. The bed is huge, there is place to let our stuff inside the box. And the breakfast is delicious. Every time I go to KTM I sleep there. I feel like at home. So friendly place. Can't wait to go back.

The staff! So so friendly and welcoming and such genuine people. The general atmosphere was lovely and especially loved the Secret Santa evening on Christmas day. The restaurant on the premises was also a real treat. Delicious home cooked traditional food. The winter stew was so yummy. We ended up booking an extra night & I even returned again after a trip to Pokhara. They had organised a fantastic hike for us on our first day with excellent tour guide Kris. Jason & all the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We hadnt stayed in a hostel for many years but I can highly recommend a stay at The HostelNextdoor. We had a private room & it was large, warm & very comfortable. I've travelled a lot in Asia and I can tell you, this was one of my most enjoyable stays. Thank you Hostel Nextdoor.

The shower facilities are not large or exceptionally nice and there aren't many breakfast options however this is easily remedied by the incredible restaurant attached nextdoor.

The staff is very involved and friendly! The rooms are very very nice and spacious with a large storage box/shelf for your things as well as plenty of floor space. The walking tour is fantastic and there are game nights and other social/art activities to participate in. I was never bored! By far the best hostel in Kathmandu. The showers are also nice and hot!
