Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We found the hotel very conveniently located close to the centre of Arrowtown. Our room was spacious and well equipped with thoughtful extras like the welcome cheese platter and wine. Breakfast was excellent and our hostess very friendly. A good choice for a visit to a charming village. Bonus extra - a washing machine and dryer in a cupboard in our room! Washing powder also provided… great for refreshing some stuff!

We had the attic room with no air conditioning and it was bit hot however this time of year it cools down at night. Also had to park off the road. Other than that thought it a great little find.
Loved the personal touch of complimentary wine/cheese etc and baking. Great breakfast too and the staff were superb.

What's not to like here?
Arrowtown location is stellar. Warm staff greeting on arrival. Wonderful room. Lovely breakfast as well as welcoming plate in my room. Great coffee is also appreciated. Fire in the fireplace at inclusive breakfast enhances homeyness. Fun to dialog with other guests at breakfast.

So suited for a group. Excellent for being able to have communal meals including the ability to entertain. Loved the separate room above the garage as it gave complete privacy to a young couple. Beautifully appointed - we just thoroughly loved our stay and it all felt rather special.

It’s a shame the cooked breakfast was only available between 8am and 10am which is quite late compared to many other places. Would have been nice if available an hour earlier. However, a cereal breakfast both mornings was available for me to help myself as I was unable to join in for breakfast, which was great and convenient.
A fantastic place to stay either attention to detail made to make its worthwhile

There was a fault with our air conditioning, which Victoria did her best to resolve and then provided us with a fan when she couldn't get an engineer in.
This was a little bit of luxury, sadly only for 1 night! Arrived at reception to find a personalised note directing us to our room. Cheese and biscuits in room and a small bottle of wine, lovely. Victoria came and introduced herself when she returned and was extremely helpful and accommodating (ice thanks!). Afternoon cake was available in the lobby area, which was smashing! Slept well, good breakfast.

Wonderful stay at a lovely property. The room was great and beautifully done. We had everything we needed. The afternoon tea (biscuits and cakes) in the entrance hall were a treat! Breakfasts were lovely and the staff were excellent and provided great service.

Everything was outstanding. The room was great, really nice bathroom. Enjoyed the complementary wine, chocolates, cookies and fruit. Sitting on deck was peaceful. Breakfast was excellent. Short walk to town.

ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE PEOPLE WALKING AROUND IN THE ROOM ABLOVE US WAS QUITE NOISY.
bREAKFAST WAS GREAT. HAVE STAYED HERE BEFORE AND LOVE THEQUAINTNESS. STAFF ALSO EXCELLENT. AND ALL THE LITTLE EXTRAS CHEESE IN FRIDGE, BOTTOLE OF WINE. FRUIT IN THE FOYER.

Reception was by email with instruction to enter and receive room instructions, as such no one was present to greet at check in

Friendly staff, tasty breakfast, spacious room and great facilities. Finishing touches and complimentary refreshments in the room made it feel special. Best hotel we stayed in New Zealand! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing base for Arrowtown/Queenstown area.

Room was a little warm overnight ( we did visit in the height of summer!) Otherwise everything was more than satisfactory. Overall would recommend
We really liked this property. Lots of little extras provided which was nice (cake, wine, cheese platter) Breakfast staff were friendly and courteous and there was quite a nice selection of breakfast items. Self check in so didn’t see anyone when we arrived. Great location for exploring the small town.

Everything. Our stay was exceptional, one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Beautiful rooms with very well maintained facilities. Extremely thoughtful complimentary services including wine, cheese and afternoon tea. Bed was so comfy and laundry services in the room were so helpful.
