It was a bit difficult to find, a sign at the entry of the gravel driveway would be helpful.

The house is located far away from any source of noise, The only sounds are those of crickets and birds. There is a fully equipped large kitchen. All furniture is of good quality and stylish. The bed and sofa are comfortable. There is an additional chamber where luggage can be stored. The landlord gave us a very friendly welcome and took his time to show us around. He had the fridge well filled with high quality food, so that we could enjoy a delicious full breakfast.

Nothing could be improved with the cottage. Bed and comfortable seating were just wonderfull.

All of our breakfast requirements were stocked in the fridge, with all dishware and assorted items in the pantry. The kitchen was fitted with all new and top of the line stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc..

If the entrance gate is shut, ignore the 'No access' 'private property' signs. That's where you're heading... somewhere with privacy.

The goodies provided for breakfast were delicious, particularly the fresh eggs from their own chooks. The location is wonderful, peaceful and calm, with the only neighbours being the farm animals and inquisitive birds. The patio catches the evening sun and is a perfect place to chill out at the end of the day.

What a beautiful cottage, modern and very comfortable but with a lot of charm. The breakfast provided was amazing. Bacon, eggs, bread, spreads, blueberries, yoghurt, cereals, juice - it certainly exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the very private, quiet, rural location as that is exactly what we were looking for.

The location lets you be somewhat off grid gazing out onto the lush farmland whilst still having comforts like wifi and tv if you want to use them. The hosts are also incredible offering fresh orange juice and yoghurt in the fridge and a few other refreshments free to use making meal times extra special. Lastly guests are allowed to use their adorable juke box music player- the perfect vibe curator! Love this place - I will definitely be returning!

Quiet and comfortable - need to be aware there is no cellphone coverage here.

One very concerning thing is that there was no cell phone reception and given its isolation should you have a medical event this would not be a great outcome. The owners property had reception as it was on a rise some distance from the cottage, having their number was the only option should someone need to contact you or you needed assistance – this is assuming they are home.

The location was absolutely fine if you wanted to have some peace and quiet – nice outlook to paddocks and local forest. The Wi-Fi was ok, this was via the owners property..

The double bed is situated in the living room which is open to the kitchen area. The impression from the description on Booking.com is that you sleep in the bedroom which in actual fact is the size of a small dressing room, has no curtain and only a single bed.

Lovely breakfast ingredients supplied. Great location between Mapua and Upper Moutere. Quiet rural setting.
