Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our stay was excellent . This was the first air bnb booking I have ever made. The only thing I dislike was that I didn't try this option soon and that I didn't book a longer stay.
Amazing hosts, the cleanliness, comfortable bed, slept well. Quiet location. Ground floor room, easy access. Great value . Our induction to the property was thorough and well received thanks to a great host.

Just make sure to ask for the A/C to be turned on at night as it's controlled from upstairs even though you have a thermostat in the room.
Lou was an outstanding host during our time at her house. She gave us a hand-written note along with some New Zealand chocolate which was a nice touch. The room was great and the home was beautifully designed. Lou got to know us, and we felt right at home. I would highly recommend Cosy Lux to all other travelers!

Our hostess was engaging and on hand. Guests staying in the ground floor with lovely ensuite room and can used facilities on 1st floor. Family live on 2nd Floor. It was perfect for our pre birthdays flight stay and Metro link to the City. First Class.

I was welcomed into the home! The room is fully private to have your own space, but I also enjoyed meeting other occupants of the house and getting some tips for my trip. Oh and great coffee 😁 The room was very clean, great en suite bathroom, and the location from the train station was very convenient as a base. Would definitely stay again if I’m back in Auckland

We haven't seen Lou, but she was all the time available for us. The room is small, but very beautiful and enough for two 🙂 The whole style in the house is very beautiful. It took us around 30 minutes by bus to the city. The bus station is 5 minutes away. We had a lovely card on our bed and chocolate. During our stay of 2 nights we had the opportunity to use the laundry and the kitchen. It was so kind that she asked us before which kind of pillow and sheets we wanted to have. Very lovely. It was very nice and we would come back!

There is nothing.
What an amazing bed and breakfast in Auckland! We, a young couple, spent 2 nights in Lou's apartment, and everything was perfect. The room was clean and had its own bathroom with a modern shower. And we even received a chocolate bar as a welcome gift. Lou is definitely going the extra mile to make her guest happy. The apartment is close to a train station of the western line, which brings you directly to Auckland downtown.

Excellent! The room is top of the bill with a lovely soft bed. Lou is a great hostess. Very hospitable, we were allowed full use of the wonderful kitchen and living room. Superb! The apartment is nearby the metrostation Mt Albert which connect you very quickly to the city centre. Couldn't be better.

We'll definitely stay here again if we return to Auckland. Good location especially if you have a car as there's free parking. Near train station which takes you into the CBD. The house is really modern and clean. Great coffee machine. Our private bathroom shower was excellent. Private patio area. Free laundry facilities. Very personal service and quick communication from Lou. The area is also quiet and residential. Shops and restaurants/cafes a short walk away (including Broke Boys Tacos).

Very nice accommodation set in a beautiful townhouse. Modern, clean and with all comforts is a great place to stay if you are visiting Auckland. Conveniently located near Mt Albert train station and bus stops, makes it perfect for both those having a car and those who don’t. The host Lou is extremely friendly and she makes you feel at ease from the moment you book. Her hospitality was way beyond expectations and made us feel super comfortable throughout the entire stay. Will surely stay again on our next visit in Auckland, thanks Lou 😊

The moment I entered the house I felt like home - just better! The entire house is incredibly stylish and luxurious. It even inspired me to design my own house in a similar way! The kitchen is an absolute dream and the bedroom itself feels very classy and comfy. Everything was spotless clean and tidy. I had the best sleep ever! Will definitely come back and stay again
