Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New Zealandon check out left premises about 9.45 am and office not yet open, so let key in lock box , but unable to check and verify account before leaving so will have to chase up a receipt. Also not able to advise staff of a minor issue re bedding arrangements, had requested single beds, but found large king size bed.
Nice clean and tidy well presented cottage. Good facilities . Excellent wine tasting experience. Good area to walk around to view magnificent views and take magic photographs of scenery. Bonus hot tub to relax in and very handy to cottage we stayed in (Pisa 1).

New ZealandThe takeaway food from the Bistro was not so impressive.
The setting was beautiful. 45 minutes of five local wine tastings are included. We were also able to book their outdoor hot tub for one hour with no extra charge.

United KingdomIt's a pity that the bistro closes so early in the evening, closing at 1630, which drives you off-site for supper.
We spent two nights here and loved it. The B&B cottages are distributed across the grounds at the Kinross Vineyard, with delightful views across the vines and valley to the mountains beyond. it's an extremely attractive and restful setting. We were about 80 yards from the bistro for breakfast. The cottages have lovely verandahs for sitting out and also provide picnic rugs for use on the lawns. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, beautifully presented and serviced daily. The capacious shower was excellent. The bed was so comfortable that the first night I slept for an unbroken 8 hours, most unusual at my age. The complementary tutored wine tasting is outstanding, covering a range of first class wines, including the internationally renowned Valli Gibbston and the Wild Irishman (4 times winners of the world Pinot Noir ranking) The greatest strength of Kinross is the staff - young, cheerful, infectiously enthusiastic, and in the case of those promoting the wines (Caera and Clio), professional, knowledgeable and utterly charming.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast was not worth the extra price - the buffet was a bit sparse for the cost ($20/pp). The property is right by the road, so you can hear passing cars on the highway (not super loud, but audible). The hot tub, which we paid extra for, was not hot. We tried adding extra water as they instructed, but it didn’t really make an impact.
The Kinross Hotel was located perfectly within the wine region of Gibbston valley - giving you equal access to the many wineries surrounding it (as well, of course, to the one on their property. The grounds were beautiful: plenty of spaces to relax outside - on picnic tables, bean bags, etc. - room to explore the grounds that were replete with bunnies, ducks, and other birds. Their dinner (which you need to book ahead of time - by 4:30!) was delicious with a bottle of their wine (which you need to purchase from your room!). The room was very spacious, if a bit sparsely furnished (especially the bathroom). Overall, definitely recommend though!

New ZealandDisliked · The rooms are not very sound proof, they are 2 separate rooms joined in the middle, but also had an internal access door, assuming for if someone needed both rooms. The door has quite a big gab under it and we could hear our neighbouring guest a little too clearly.
Liked · Location was beautiful! The European buffet breakfast was great, small selection but very flavourful! Staff and other guest were pleasant. Wine tasting is a must do and the hot tub was great on a clear night, lots of nature about.
