We were very well looked after in this lovely location. Really appreciated the peaceful location and the luxurious room. The bifold windows in the enormous bathroom were novel. Lovely having cotton sheets and bathrobes. The pool table was fun. Breakfast was delicious. Huge thank you!!

The outdoor terrace and garden furniture of the barn would benefit of some gentle touches.

A pretty, traditional lodge in a lovely rural setting with beautiful beaches nearby. The lodge has a pretty garden and even a pool that we only noticed the last morning. Host Dave was very nice and helpful, prompt in all communication and we felt welcome. Breakfast was very good and my gluten-free diet was noted, which I really appreciate as that isn’t nearly always clear. Our room was very spacious, had french doors and a view to a medow. Closeby Whangarei is a nice little town for a stroll, the interesting Hundertwasser gallery and even a visit to a waterfall.

The area was great, loved the ambience. A bit more cleaning in the kitchen will make this place a highlight of Whangarei.

Cooked breakfast was amazing and that too at very short notice. Andy took good care of the breakfast and even packed one for us. Fabulous !

there were nothing don't like because every thing there for any person come to stay. breakfast was really good and you can choose from three choices. that was really amazing thing to do for your customers.

The room & space which creates space to chill, to make basic food with a microwave & kitchenette, to work at a desk. The cooked breakfast.

The room was so pleasant & was exactly the images I saw online. This place would be extra lovely in summer when you could enjoy the outdoors. Set on an estate the accommodation looks like a converted barn. I spent 2 nights in the lower apartment. Bed & pillows were comfy! I knew breakfast was included but didn't expect a continental + cooked ... loved the cooked breakfast of eggs & bacon. Def intend to stay here again if I'm in Whangarei again.

Lots of buffering when we tried to cast the rugby to the tv but it did improve after a while.

The breakfast was excellent and a highlight of our trip. It was great to be able to eat at the same location. The lodge was lovely. It felt far more relaxed and homely than staying at a hotel or motel.

We booked at the last minute and the host communicated with us straight away and went out of his way to make our stay more enjoyable. He even made dinner for us even though we were outside the time with which we were meant to put our request in.

Cleaning of grout in shower required and down lefthand side of vanity the floor was dirty. It's an awkward place to reach so probably gets missed.

worst reception. this was the only problem I had with the stay. there is wifi but the signal is poor and kept dropping in and out. also can’t make phone calls from the room as no reception. not ideal for a work trip, but perfect for a get away 💕

No cell cover for vodafone one nz was very frustrating and no nearby store so need to take supplies if you want nibbles etc. Chair at desk not comfortable. But desk is a good size.
