Beautiful little chalet with own driveway, great view and nice owners who helped us organise our hike in the national Park. Great location to start a day trip into the national Park.

Owned by a local family and greeted warmly by Chris; Chris quickly helped us change kayak tour days due to rain coming in; we were offered fresh milk for our coffee/tea in chalet - wonderfully appreciated touch; room has floor to ceiling windows with beautiful view of lake/island; wooden porch with small table and 2 chairs; electric blanket on bed; 4 pillows; extra blanket; 2 portable electric heaters; ceiling fan; coat rack for hanging clothes; table and 2 chairs inside chalet; small fridge, microwave, toaster; plates, cutlery; water in shower was hot and there was good water pressure; wooden beams in ceiling and wooden wainscoting around walls - so cozy; thought went into furnishings and art to display local flair; easy to walk to 2 restaurants and to Abel Tasman kayaks; a quaint chalet with everything thought of!

beautiful location and stunning views from the chalet. Very well laid out so that each chalet is very private. Thoughtfully designed rooms which were immaculatly presented. Lovely, friendly and helpful hosts.

Ocean View Chalets are located in a wonderful location overlooking Sandy Bay. We booked one of the small studio rooms and whilst they are small it still had everything we needed. Marahau is a great location for exploring the Abel Tasman area. Great walks and plenty of opportunity for kayaking etc. There is a small store selling the basics and a bar serving meals. We would happily have stayed longer.

Loved our 2 night stay ! Fantastic location and views . Very well equipped units - we were in the small studio but it was perfect for 2 of us - extremely comfortable. Great service provided with boat bookings and restaurants. Best service we have had on our 4 week travels in New Zealand !

In summer there are enormous amounts of crickets all around the chalets. For me personally it is the sound of summer, so I wasn't bothered 🙂

Beautifully located chalets with stunning views on the terrace, living room and bedroom that exceeded my expections. Friendly reception and the cabin (and even the dishes) is services daily. The pictures of inside chalets give them a somewhat dated look but in reality they are much better and very well maintained and clean.

Chris and Jared are very friendly and helpful. And helped us with tours we booked. We had a fantastic view of the ocean. The accomodation had everything we needed! It’s easy to navigate from the accomodation to the Abel National Park and the restaurants in Marahau

We liked everything... it was clean and comfortable with amazing views! Chris and Jared are really helpful and friendly. It was a hard place to leave, would have happily stayed for a week.

Wifi did not work properly; just to be aware of but we were not- cooking facilities were just 2 hot plates on a microwave so not really great for cooking and the bedroom was only separated with a curtain from the kitchen / living room area so not ideal if one person is up and the other one wants to sleep, you also hear the fridge etc

Staff were so friendly, great location and loved being able to see the water from our balcony! Felt like we had our own space, we loved being able to walk into Abel Tasman/to the kayak tours and overall the place just had a lovely feel to it.
